Hi - another new vaper..

Hi all! Just wanted to greet the forum formally Well, since my girlfriend ordered in our trial KR808's a couple of months ago I've only hit the tobacco while getting our ordering ritual sorted out. Now I have my juice, flavourings and various implements of the trade, I am a non-smoker! After 35 years of professional smoking I cannot believe how easy the transition has been. As this is just a greeting note, I 'll leave the details till later, but for now just want to say thanks to all the posters on here, some for their knowledge and experience and some just for taking the time to offer their opinions. I hope I'll fall somewhere in the middle!

Congratulations on becoming a non-smoker. I wished these devices were around when my mother was alive as she smoked for over 40 years. She passed away in 2002 from a smoking related disease! Good luck on staying a non-smoker!

Hey, thanks for the welcome boys and girls. Especially from the senior posters who remember the newbies here!
Still going strong with no slip ups or unbearable temptations - and this living with a smoker-cum-vaper. I thought the big test would be the first 'big night out' with beer and smokers, but it really was no problem! I'm not one of those sneering ex-smoker types who made a concious decision, I just tried it, liked it and it all made sense - so I'm gonna stick with it.
My little 808 kit is getting a fair battering, so I'm now looking to upgrade all the parts to quality gear. I'm not too bothered by high voltage, low resistance, gadgets and mods at this moment. I like my 808's as I just want a ciggy type thing to carry on with as usual.
Vapor Pete, are you ROFL or are you giving me a pat on the back for a sound choice:

Present flavour is tobacco based mix with a touch of caramel and apple pie to sweeten. I have my eyes on several new flavours (tobacco) to try though.
Next step is to personalise my profile though.....

Im hoping to quit myself once i get my 902 from modernvapor(unfortuantly living in oz means i have to wait ages lol).

Seeing people like yourself quitting so quickly gives me hope for finally quitting my pack a day habit(goin on 11 years in august...)

Hi Evil_Monkey and thanks. Yep, I was surprised myself, the first week was just one day at a time with my all in one supplied starter pack. Then came the clean ashtrays (to put the used carto's in!) and now, when the other half is away (she works on The Ghan and still smokes a bit) there's not an ashtray in sight. One by one the analogue clutter (I smoked rollies) have disappeared from my possession. A gradual cleansing.
I didn't really make the 'BIG DECISION' at all, it was just a natural progression, after all, we don't need to find a reason - we already know it. Health.
Good luck, it'll be fine - I've had no problem getting nic juice in from the States to SA. One thing though, I did make my recipe quite a high nic content (24mg) just to make sure there were no cravings. I aim to cut that down a little though.
