Nice review Scott. I found a pretty good tool to clean around the atomizer threads. It's definitely needed for the 801 adapter because there is less room between the center post and the inner wall of the adapter. Since the ends are a sponge material, you can rinse them off and reuse them numerous times. I got mine at Hobby Lobby. Here is the web link:

Great review Scott! Audio, video and editing are Superb as is typical with all your reviews.

One note: Although I agree that the supplied "Tall Bridge" DSE901/DSE801 Atomizers do not perform well with cartridges, I've had great luck with the 801 atomizers from east mall (RN4072?), they are a low bridge atomizer that works perfect with standard 801 cartridges on my Prodigy.

So even though the Prodigy is marketed as "Dripping Friendly", It does fantastic with carts also... as long as the correct type atomizer/cart combination is used.:)

great vid, as always. i'm still wondering how folks are getting so many drops in without pooling out or flooding! i tend to use only 2 and that gives me problems at times. guess i need to experiment some more.

one thing on the video, and maybe this is just me (*5.1 sound) but the video is very "right" heavy on the sound. again, not nitpicking, audio is just fine, but it sounds pushed to the right. if i'm the only one that noticed, maybe i have speaker issues ;)

Nice review!

The only things I'd add are these:

There are adapters for the 510 available right now and 401 adapters are on the way.

As far as dripping versus carts go, I've got the Prodigy 510 setup and have used both methods with good success. Dripping it gives a very strong throat hit and extra thick vapor. It also gives you a very immediate sense of when the atomizer is getting dry because the taste comes through more distinctly than with a cart.

When using a cart, I've found that the standard polly fill doesn't wick as readily with the Prodigy as it does with stock 510 batteries. This seems to have to do with the hotter bridge drawing fluid into the atomizer more quickly than the polly is willing to give it up. But, when I pack my carts with Lipton Pyramid bag material, I find that the performance is practically perfect. The fluid wicks out at a nice rapid rate, keeping the atomizer very wet for many drags. The Pyramid bags are made of a plastic mesh that absorbs lots of fluid but also lets it run out quite freely when the atomizer draws it in. The only "drawback" to using a cart is that the throat hit and taste are both somewhat less pronounced. With a filled cart the hit is closer to what you get on a standard 510, only it's the best 510 hit you've ever gotten and it's consistent from drag to drag until the cart starts to run dry.
