I have been a lurker on these forums for a long time now. I have read the whole vmax thread post for post.......lol. I have been vaping for a couple of years now and decided to join the forum that has helped me so much. I am vaping on a Mini Vivi Nova on a Smoktech vmax stainless steel with blue button, red led and the ego top. Ver 4 I think. I am currently vaping a caramel juice till my order shows up.

I live in Idaho, there are no vape groups or any actual vape shops around. I have had to learn about vaping on my own. Most of the questions I have had over the years have been answered on this forum. I would like to say thanks to all that have contributed and hope I can in some way as well.

I am going to try building my own coils next week after my wire and wick shows up. All I have to rebuild on is the mini vivi nova, but am confident it will work out ok..........;)

Thanks for the optimism. I hope it works on my first try as well.......lol. However, if it does not I will not get discouraged and keep trying til I get it. I figure I will try on a vivi first before upgrading to a pheonix rebuild-able or something if that nature. So far, the mini vivi nova has blown everything else I have tried out of the water with the factory coils.....lol.

Let us kmow how it works out. I didn't think you could rebuild the nova. I thought you just had to replace the head.

You can replace the heads, and they seem to last for a while. They are inexpensive to replace, but seems like more fun to build your own coil. There are some vids on youtube and some post on this forum that explain how to rebuild the vivi nova. I will post on my experience after I give it a whirl. It really does not look like it is that hard to make a coil, just something that takes a little practice.

And if you start using SS mesh you get to play with a torch

Success!!!! I rebuilt the mini nova with some wire and wick I purchased from Vapoligy. They are also located in my state......woohoo. Shipping was fast. It took me two tries but on the second try I ended up with a 2.4ohm coil. I had to wrap it 8 times and used a sewing needle to wrap around. I used one strand of wick cut to same length as the original. I got an f2 error on the vmax when i first tried so I made a new coil and it is working great. :vapor: In fact it is working better then the 2.4 ohm head I was using that came with the tank. I am vaping on Pina Colada from Vapoligy as well. Flavor is great and vapor is clouds....lol. (If you like pina colada.):)

I do not have enough post to post this in the Vmax thread yet :( So this is going here for now, until I get to 15 posts.

It seems like my Vmax is having issues with the center post in the 510 connection. When I put my mini vivi nova on it, the vmax will give an error code or sometimes reset itself unless I unscrew the vivi nova a little. The problem with that is that when I unscrew the tank, it is loose and wobbly in the connector. I was very careful about not tightening anything down to tight on the vmax, but it seems that the center post is pushed down to far. I am aware of how to raise the center post with an eyeglass screwdriver and have done so with a safety pin, very carefully. However the center post works its way down just by vaping on it, even if I do not tighten what ever is on the device. I have the same issue with some cartos I have as well.

Is this fixable, and why is there a floating center post anyways? It seems like if it where solid I would not have this issue. I set up a ticket with the vendor and hope to here from them shortly. So, far it still works, but is a pain in the ... keeping every thing so loose in it that it feels like my carto or tank is going to fall off......lol.
