Hola everyone, name is Mike, obv I am new to this forum but not forums in general.

I have gone thru alot of the site reading most every post and reply to it.

I really want to do this, There is so many reviews good/bad etc what's the best/worst. all kinds of good stuff that sometimes gets conveluted in threads.

I could really use some help with a starter pack, A good one thou, not a dirt cheap one but not like 200$ or something either, I really want to try this. Also I would like the e-liquid, not the non nicotine crap.

I have been to so freakin many websites my eyes are bleeding.

Also I am a Canadian Citizen so keep that in mind if you would like to help me out, I know we have a few custom problems from health canada (jerks)

Any help would be appreciated,

thanks....

a total e-cig newbie

The best place to start for equipment would be Jack @ Happy Vaper!

Happy Vaper - Canadian Quality Electronic Cigarette/Personal Vaporizers and DIY Smoke Liquid

Email him, and he will walk you through EVERYTHING you need to know. The man is golden.

Get some nic juice from Rob @ Vapables for your carts.

Vapables.com

You won't be sorry.

Lastly, you can join us in the Canadian subforums. (I think after 15 posts). Glad to have ya!

Also, if you are in the Toronto area, we are having a vapers group meet. Jack can fill you in!

510s are great, but even better is an eGo. It's a 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cover. It does depend of course on how much you vape, but battery life on a standard 510 is ... improveable. Mind you, we managed, before the eGo came along, but by now I rather recommend the eGo. It's actually not more expensive, either, since with an eGo, you don't need things like a PCC and a Passthrough and all that; and at least a PCC is quite necessary with a standard 510, unless you vape very little.

Also, make sure you order at least two flavours of juice, just in case you don't like one, and it's not a bad idea to order one in both a very high and a very low strenght, so you can find out what strenghs you actually prefer. Although most start out with about 18mg/ml.

Ya it's a little overwhelming wiyth batteries/chargers/atomizers, I don't know how long these things last, or if it's actually cheaper to do this.

I do know I love technology like new gizmo's and gadgets, the mods sound fun also (the creating part :) )

But I am def willing to try this out, so Gonna order something from happyvapor today i Think

Would it be best to call him or order on website?

For me Jack recommended the Happy 510 'On the Go' Starter Kit.
In addition I have a USB passthrough for when I'm on the computer.

I started off with Tobacco flavor (no nicotine) but that didn't work for me.
Now I have Malboro Red (18 mg nicotine) and that's much better.

I'm still experimenting with flavors though.
The 555 was recommended to me, so I might give that a try.

I second the KR808D-1. The 510 is nice. But it can be quite a hassle for us heavy-vapers. The 808 has much better battery life. The cartomizers far outlast the 510 carts. The flavor is excellent. And with the new premium cartomizers, you don't have to sacrifice vapor production. I still use my 510, but rarely take it out of the house, and definitely not while driving. Plus the auto 510 bateries suck! Not a probem if you are into manuals, but I prefer auto's for the sheer convenience.

Good luck, and happy vaping!

the vg or I think you guys are talking about is vegetable glycerine right? This increases vapor? I think I'm going to need good vapor, I'd love to get off real smokes if I can trick myself into it.

PG and VG are very, very different when it comes to vaping.

VG does make more vapor, true....but at a cost. Flavor and strength are impacted.
