Hello and welcome! Was a smoker myself for over 30 years and couldn't believe I would be able to quit. vaping most certainly works. Have been cigarette free for over a year now and it still amazes me. You'll find plenty of support here and help with any vaping questions you might have.

Also, if your still smoking and vaping at the same time, don't beat yourself up. Some people can stop instantly, for others it takes a little more time. I didn't quit until 3 months into vaping, and it just sort of happened.

G'mornin Claire and welcome to ECF. 45 years of the nasties here. eCigs have certainly worked and worked very well for many of us here!

Have you actually started Vaping yet? What ya using? It took some some time but I've finally put together what *for me* seems to be the the perfect mod and tank(s) combo. The Eleaf iStick Pico mod and eGo ONE Mega tank or Kanger Subtank Mini. Of course everyone has different preferences tho.

I smoked for nearly 40 years and the thought of giving up would almost induce a panic attack !! However, having found a set up that worked for me and dual using for about 6 weeks, I finally ditched the cigarettes nearly 3 1/2 years ago. I have no regrets and don't miss smoking now at all

Don't even pressure yourself with quitting right now. Just start vaping and find what works for you and start by cutting down. You will find it relatively easy to cut down as you won't be having nicotine cravings when your vaping a dose that's right for you.

For me it was 38 years. Never thought I could do it. When I started vaping, I was hoping to just use it to help me get a job. I felt like no one would hire anyone that smelled like smoke.

I didn't actually think it would work. And, I never actually committed to it. That would have made me too anxious. I was the kind of person that would panic if I had less than 2 packs in my purse.

I just let the packs of cigarettes sit in my drawer for a couple of months while I vaped away. It's been over 6 years since I gave away the last of my cigarettes!

A lot of us never thought about it - it just happened (over time, usually)
If I'd chosen to quit smoking immediately or gone cold turkey, there would only have been one outcome.
Just vape and go with the flow.

Welcome Claire. On Christmas eve 2014 I was introduced to someone with a Ego Evod, on January 29th 2015 I bought my first setup, threw away my sticks same day. I was fortunate to stop same day which I NEVER thought was possible after 20 years of smoking.
Keep looking at what door can be opened not the one that can't.
You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Welcome and glad you joined. To stop smoking you have to want to quit smoking and for a good reason(s). Maybe more importantly, you have to want to put forth the effort. Vaping is much more fulfilling than smoking because you can tailor it for your personal likes.
