My ijoy limitless RDTA plus positive post is cracked. See attached photo

I decided to clean up my rdta because i've used too many flavors with it. As i took it apart, I noticed a crack on the positive post and noticed that the shiny part is peeling off, should I continue using it? should I buy a new atomizer? I noticed nothing wrong with the vapor quality (flavor, density) during the most recent use before cleaning.

I'm new to vaping but, realy you need to ask? It's broken I'd rather buy a new atomizer than visit the E.R. and try to explain how I burned/blew off half my face!

Thanks for your input, i just had no problems with it whatsoever before cleaning it up and im pretty sure it was cracked before i took it apart. no worries, i haven't been using it since i discovered the crack

My vote also: replace the atomizer. And, I really don't like painted tanks, for the reasons you mentioned. My concern would be less an explosion (although I guess that could happen) and more leaching over time, and something that you may not notice right away, but over time could lead to undesirable things in your vape. Just because you notice no ill effects now, that doesn't mean that you might not in the future, if you continue using it. Even smoking cigarettes didn't make me "sick" right away, the damage was done over decades.

So, I'd say better safe than sorry, and retire it. If you love this atomizer, maybe see if they make a SS version?

A potential problem as I see it, is we have no idea what metals were used in making that device, especially if it was manufactured in China. It apparently was plated or painted for a reason other than for cosmetic purposes. What if some of the metals used are toxic and are now exposed and leaching?
