Hi everyone my name is Andy. I'm from West Yorkshire England and have been free from tobacco and vaping for 1 month now :)

The problem I am finding is that vaping is costing me as much if not more in money than regular smoking.

I am currently using a Vision Spinner e-cig and Evod tank. Which is pretty good but the wicks dont last long (5/6days).

I have been given an Aspire CF Sub battery and know that the battery is almost dead. My question is can I replace the battery cell and if so what battery is needed. And how the heck would I go about opening the thing ?. It has 6 or more small holes on the bottom of the battery ?.

If I cant replace the battery cell, can someone point me to a ecig that works well and takes 18650 battery's as I can buy these from Ebay and other places, obviously looking out for fakes.

Thanks, Andy.:vapor:

Welcome Andy...

More than smoking..... this isn't right. What are you doing? :)

I don't know about the sub battery... I'm surprised it's almost dead anyway... it's only been on sale a few months? Have you been caning it?

We need to sort you out.

P.S. I got 3-4 days tops on an Evod coil, and I don't even vape very much... I'm a total lightweight, but I do like a fresh atomizer head.

Hey Andy, and welcome!

No, you can't replace the battery in an Aspire CF Sub battery. You've been given it for free, I hope?
The CF Sub is basically a mech battery, unregulated, mainly for sub-ohm tanks and builds (according to the Aspire page for resistances 0.3-1 Ohm).

The Aspire CF Mod battery is the one where you can change the 18650 battery in it.

Yeah, what's up with the costs? I know, vape-gear is more expensive in UK as in the States, but the price of cigarettes ir sky-high too!
With a spinner and evod your only expenses should be juice and coils, and coils for that one are one of the cheaper kind. What EVOD do you have, btw?

Thanks for the reply raitizz. I have a Kanger evod tank, not the battery.

Is there many ecigs that you can replace the battery's ?, and if so is there a special name for this kind of ecig ?..

I think I will definately be buying the Aspire CF Sub battery. I am quite a heavy smoker and cannot afford to be buying a new ecig every few months, batteries are the way to go for me.

Cheers.

From what you say, I wouldn't buy the non-replaceable battery Aspire CF Sub-ohm. 100% sure on that. Get the other one.

If you want a 'tube' that you put a battery in and to buy batteries (instead of the whole thing) then get the right one.

However, these Aspire batteries lose power as the battery drains, which is why box mods are popular. With a regulated box mod, you can turn the power up and down to suit your needs... and suffer no loss of vapour as the battery drains.

Yes mate, thats the one i'm gonna get. Is that site ok to order from ?. And also any recommendations on batteries ?.

Thanks all for the info :)

Have you considered an iStick 30W? A small and cheap box, USB charging, vapes for days(~ish).
I would not by the CF Mod for an eGo tank.
Besides, with a CF Mod, as you know, you are gonna need at least 2 batteries and a decent charger.

Not 100% sure about that vendor. I searched google, and all the normal vendors to avoid are showing it for sale.

If it's £24.99, you won't save more than a pound or two. UKecigstore sell it (£25.99)... I'd be tempted to slice my own head off with a hacksaw than lower myself to that sort of behavior.
