Hi!
I just quit smoking analog two weeks ago and have been suck into the vaping world! I started with a little kit of one battery with two cheap CE5-S clearomizers.

Then I switched to an Avatar II, then to an istick 30w with a Kanger subtank nano and a Nautilus mini.

This week, I just ordered an Evic VT. I also ordered some rda clones (1:1 and with good reviews/discussions) from fasttech.

I now regret my subtank nano, as it doesn't have RTA section and it has leaking, but that's my fault. I thought I would stay small, with only the iStick 30w and also that I would never rebuild anything.

I paid really too much for a lot of this equipment, as I bought it from a new B&M shop in my town and realized too late that they were cranking markups.

So, I'm here, waiting to have 5 posts to be able to get certain lists to be able to pay at least a decent amount for my eliquid before I go DYI. I've paid as much as 30$ for 15ml of orange flavored eliquid, so I think i've been raped.

Is jughead any good? That's one that seems mentioned a lot and want to be sure I can trust them. I'm also looking at a great pipe tobacco flavor. I know it's been anwered in another thread, but I'd like to know if someone tried the Primal Pipe from 12monkeys, as it's the taste I'm looking for.

TL;DR Hi! Paid too much for my equipment and eliquid, but hope to pay less for my future eliquid.

Regards,

Dan

Welcome! Trust me, once you find your 'happy place', your costs will go down. Most of us spent WAY more than we needed to at first. I started mixing my own juice about 3 months after I switched, and I haven't looked back; I think I might be spending $30 a month (total) on vaping now. Of course, that's in two or three big purchases once every couple of years... but it still works out to be cheap. Plus, we're not killing ourselves, right?

You'll find just about every answer you need right here, man.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome! :) I'm sure I'll be checking those links Sir2fyablyNutz!

I know i'm spending too much right now, but event if it's still not cheaper, I don't want to go back to analog!

But... I should have searched better before. I have an ego battery and two cs-5 (80$) that'll be gathering dust. Also, my subtank nano will not last long before I go rta, I should have gone Mini instead. And, I paid 70$ for my iStick 30w. Anyway, noob mistakes. :) At least, I love the aspire Mini, even if it's not rebuildable, I like the mouth to lung it provides. I also like my Avatar II when I'm out and about, as vaping with a huge mod would trigger too much questions here.

Thanks again!

Dan

Hi ultimdan and welcome aboard!

Don't feel alone - most of us spent too much at first - just part of the learning curve. It gets better over time (unless, of course, it turns into a hobby and shinyitis sets in :) )

If you have any questions or need any advice, just ask. Someone will be by shortly to help.

Happy Vaping!

Thanks all! I feel so welcomed. You seems to be a great community. I'm happy to have found it.

My wife know that I'll slack eventually, but is frowning a little right now! :) Anyway, she told me she would be more angry seeing me going back to cigarette than spending a lot at first.

I'm feeling less bad about my purchases by thinking of them as backups! I'll just need to be sure to have some high pg juice always on hands, as cheap cleaomizers seems to not play well over 30-40 vg.

I'll be sure to post back when I receive my first two RDA. I'll be starting to build my own coils but I don't know enough right now. I may switch from kenthal to Nickel fast too, as I ordered the Evic VT.

So much to learn! At least, I'm not thinking a bit about analog with all this chasing of information!

Don't give up on the nano it is nice to have pre built coils on one of your tanks. It also looks good on the istick. We all blew a bunch of cash on our first setup. You are just lucky that you realized it early in the journey. The eVic VT is really nice and should keep you happy for a long time. I love mine. You can also buy the nickel coils for your nano and use them with the temp control on the eVic.

Welcome and enjoy the new lifestyle.
