Hi all, I've been analog free for a week now. It feels great.
I was a pad smoker and smoked for 30 years. I have quit before using patches and had little sucess. Even tried "cold turkey" a time or two.
I first looked at ecig's around 2009 and wondered if they would work for me. I recently bought a Bloog kit and I have to say, that it's the greatest way to get rid of the cancer sticks yet. No cravings at all.
I have 1 question though. I bought my juice from BWB and I was wondering about vapor. I don't seem to get as much as people in the reviews. The flavour and th are good, but is it just my kit and the juice I chose?

Happy :vapor:to all.

Ha- we just had a thread which discussed why those guys don't inhale so they can get lots of vapor. You get more vapor with more vg in your juice blend. Some blends are harder on th and less on vapor production. Your equipment comes into play here too. Lastly, it might be your technique. Vaping is much different from smoking and analog. You are going to slowly draw the vapor into your mouth over a period of time of 5-6 seconds, then inhale. I don't inhale deeply while vaping. Hope this helps?

Yes, I wondered about that, and it really doesn't matter to me, I just wondered why.
I'm very happy with what it does do. I have leared about the slow drag and it does work well.
So it sounds like if I want a little bigger cloud I would need more vg in my juice.

Vapor production is related to the amount of VG, but also the heat of the atomizer. Those little cigarette look-alikes can't keep the voltage in their batteries high enough for long enough.

For good vapor production, you need to keep close to 6 watts or more. The formula to determing roughly how many watts you're getting is the battery voltage sqared, divided by the resistance of the atomizer. If you do this formula, plugging in voltages between 3.5 and 4.2, which is the range of a battery, and a resistance of between 2 or 3, you will see that as the battery runs down, you start slipping into the 4-5 watt range. That's not going to give you good vapor.

4.2 volts squared = 17.64. Divide by an atomizer resistance of 2 ohms = 8.32 watts. That's good.
But a small battery won't put that out for long.
Normally it'll go down to 3.7 volts real quickly, cause it's small.
3.7 volts squared = 13.69. 13.69 divided by 2 ohms = 6.85 watts. That's o.k., but it won't stay there very long either.
Plus, a 2 ohm atomizer is a low resistance atomizer. It will kill tiny batteries like in your Bloog.
Your Bloog atomizer is probably running at closer to 2.8 to 3 ohms, maybe even 3.1 ohms.
3.7 volts squared = 13.69, divided by 3ohms = 4.56 watts. That's not going to get you very much vapor.
If your battery is fresh off a charge you can use 4.2 in the formula
4.2 squared is 17.64. Divided by 3 = 5.88. That's borderline o.k. and it doesn't last long because your voltage is dropping fast. So, your vapor might start off o.k., but it's getting weaker and weaker by the minute.

The solution is a bigger battery to maintain a higher voltage and to be able to use a lower resistance atomizer. That will get you the vapor you want.

Sailorman, thanks. I think I get what you're saying. I've noticed it myself with the battery life. So I can never really get a lot of vapor out of what I currently have. That's Ok. I'm happy for the moment and will maybe look for something different in the future. For right now it's doing what I need it to do.
What would you recomend as a step up?

Hey.

This is my second post. In my wet behind the ears attempt to help, I believe the PG/VG ratio will do the trick for you. It seems that the quantity of VG in your juice will determine the vapor you get. I use a mix of 80%PG/20% VG, and it seems to give me plenty of vapor.

Sorry folks, I just edited this post, not realizing in my Newbieness, that I was replying to the first post, and did not read through the thread, Forgive a greenhorn.
