Hi Everyone! I've been browsing the forums here for the past few days and just wanted to say hi now that I've registered. I'm really looking forward to switching from analog cigs to e-cigs and the information here is tremendous. I still have some research to do before making a choice and I really appreciate having so much information and input in one place.

Thanks!!!

Chris

Hello and Welcome! You seriously can't go wrong with Vapor4life.com. I'm not associated with them in any way. I browsed these forums for months before picking a supplier. Although they weren't my first, they are now hands down what I feel as the best supplier. Always getting freebies to try out and they answer any questions you may have, awesome customer service. Get a VaporKing kit and some cartomizers and give it a whirl. :) You won't be dissapointed, and the initial investment is is close to nothing. The only thing you might be disappointed about is when you realize you didn't order enough! :)

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome and for the suggestions.

I haven't seen e-cigs in our local mall yet, but I live in the Poconos and the mall is not huge.

I may actually buy a few different types and test them out. My daughter (34-years-old) wants to switch to e-cigs too and she may not like what I like so trying more than one type may be the way to go. I have a little extra money to spend right now so investing in a healthier alternative to analog cigarettes seems like a good thing for both of us.

Welcome cimbah! I'm in Philly, and no, there is not a lot of much in the Poconos other than skying and snowboarding. But I got all my PV supplies online, and there are great vendors with fast delivery. I would avoid mall PVs. They are almost always a ripoff. Research what you want here first, then my advice is buy online. The 510 is a great first PV: inexpensive, great work horse, and hardware is widely available, so you can shop for sales all over. And there is a ton of info on the 510 here. Of course, and others will probably jump in here, there are a lot of great PVs out there besides the 510, and also a ton of info here on each of them. And personal opinions about PVs tend to be strong here, so someone is likely to say how much the 510 sucks! Go with simple and with good reviews for your first. Don't jump in and buy something based on the ads for it...recipe for ripoff. Take your time and choose a model right for you...and ask in this forum about what you are interested in before you buy. Like I said, those slick ads can fool you! The best PVs do not need over the top advertising to entice you. Good luck, and keep us posted!

Kurt, if you haven't been to the Poconos lately, you'd be surprised to see how much it's grown - especially in the Stroudsburg area. Tons of new stores and restaurants have opened up here in the past few years but the mall is still a bit lame. Nothing like the Lehigh Valley mall.

I'm used to buying things online so I will definitely buy from an online vendor. I understand that people will have strong preferences for certain PV's and it seems like there are a lot out there to choose from, which makes it nice. We all have different preferences and tastes and a variety of PV's to choose from means the manufacturers understand that one size does not fit all. I like have choices. :)
