Hi there, I'm new to the forum and mainly came here for some help with my e-cig. I recently got one as a friend has given up with it and went back to cigs. So as a newbie I have little clue what I'm doing! I don't have it in a box but I know its a socialite battery, she has given me three tanks (or at least what I understand are called tanks.... possibly clearomizers) when looking for tips on cleaning them many things were saying to twist the bottom of it off to remove the coil and threads. Now I'm either really weak or its just not budging which makes me think they are disposables rather than the reconstruct type. I wanted to clean it to get the fruit flavoured juice out of it as I dont like them (don't know whether that's the flavour itself or the brand) and there was a tobacco one sitting. Unsuccessfully cleaned it out with water, I can still faintly taste the flavour but do now get a better vap from it.

So I was just wanting to say hi and was wondering if anyone had any tips or hints for me and if anyone can recommend a good place for the juice stuff that does tobacco flavours like Marlboro etc. I think once I have a decent tobacco one I like and can use regular ill then start picking up other tanks that I can clean to experiment with actual flavours.

Hi DarklightRainbow, welcome to ECF! :)

When I used to use clearomizer and it was time for a clean, I'd give them a hot bath in warm water and leave them to air dry for a bit followed by a burn dry (many videos on this) and if that didn't get the flavour out, I'd give them a vodka bath instead, then a burn dry.

I always had best results with vodka :)

Hi all, thanks for the welcomes and advice

Welcome to ECF!
If the bottom doesn't come off, how do you fill it?
Warm water is fine, and vodka does work extremely well.
Once you hit your five posts, you could post pics and we'd probably be better able to tell you what kind of clearos you have.

the mouthpiece does come off to fill it, but its the other end I can't get off to get the bit with the threads and coil out. Hence why I think its a disposable.

So will the vodka thing still work with a disposable? I'm worried about destroying the coil and stuff by getting water or whatever in it. I have three at the minute so I might try out the vodka one with one of my spares.

Hello and welcome!!

If the top comes off to fill, the bottom probably doesn't unscrew. Vodka won't hurt the coils, I use it to clean them.

If you have a vape shop nearby, go in and talk to them and show them your equipment. Most are very friendly and helpful, especially if you are a potential new customer!!

Get a few more posts and you can post a photo of the equipment you have. That would make it much easier for us to provide assistance.

Again, welcome and good luck!

Welcome to the forum DarklightRainbow.

I've had a quick look at the Socialites website and it does seem you have CE4 disposable clearos. If you do a search on ECF or Google for "clean CE4 clearomizer" you should find some help but I don't think you need worry about getting water (or whatever) in it. I don't know if the Socialite battery is compatible with other clearos or whether you will have to use ones you buy from them. If you're thinking about buying anything else (and you will need at least one back-up) Myepack.co.uk is a good place to look.

As to juice, I use LT Ecigs as their prices are pretty good but don't know any of their tobacco flavours.

Hope this helps :)

It was through the socialites website I came to the conclusion that's what I had too. But the two spares have no brand name or anything on them so I was hoping one of them would come apart. From what I've seen I am able to buy different brand parts for it, but I will admit I'm finding a lot of it confusing at the minute as I'm completely new to it all.

Currently got one of the tanks soaking in vodka, good Russian vodka too! :p my dad would kill me if he knew! I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

Don't know how well the picture will work, taken with my tablet. From what I gather this is pretty much just a basic set up.
