hey guys I’m new here but I don’t know if it’s the right time to be helped out a little bit lmao
So I use a smok x priv, it’s a great mod fitted with my prince tank. Beside that I recently started smoking nicotine with it again and I’ve been smokin with 6mg with a 70/30.
I wanted to try going up a bit to 12mg, and keep in mind huge cloud production with 6mg and great taste but with the 12mg I can barely taste it and it feels harsh to my throat, but I’ve smoked 12 mg before fine. It doesn’t produce nowhere near the same clouds as 70/30 being its 75 PG and it also tastes burnt compared to the lighter liquid since I’m using a dark one. I don’t know if it’s my coil or if it’s because it’s not properly wicked, but after fixing all of those problems it still has no cloud production and it doesn’t taste that good. Any suggestions? Anything im doing wrong on my part?

12mg/ml with a sub-ohm tank is a bad idea, that's a lot of nicotine... I vape 2mg/ml, and used to smoke a pack a day up until April.
The more nicotine, the harsher the vape will be. But, the bigger the clouds, the more nicotined vapor you produce. 12mg/ml is fine for non-cloudy devices, but with a sub-ohm tank, even 6 can be a lot.
Why do you want 12mg/ml in the first place?

On the burnt taste, either your coil is too gunked up and it's time to change it, either your wattage is too high for your wick to keep up. Depending on juices, a drop-in coil will last anywhere between 20 and 100ml before needing to be changed (not an exact science, lots of things can affect the longevity of your coils, you can find them to last more than 100ml, but it's not what usually happens)

That’s wxactly what I thought, 12mg is a lot for a sub ohm. But I like the 6mg because I can take a quick smoke break and feel the nicotine through my body and get that little head high that always feels so good

Hello and welcome to ECF. I have to echo what others have suggested about using 12 mg/ml nic. If 6 mg/ml is working why would you want to go higher? As far as clouds, higher VG produces better clouds. The 70 PG will not provide the same amount of vapor that 70 VG will produce. Just my :2c:.
