The eVic is highly adjustable and computer driven. It's a nice APV, I gave my wife one. VV and VW, suggested ohms of volts depending on the ohms of the device you put on it, clock, date, puff counter and USB rechargeable.

you can use any 510 carto, clearo, tank you want on both devices. Wife and I prefer cartos and carto tanks, although I also do rebuildables.

Never used a lavatube so....

Variable voltage you adjust manually depending on the ohms of your carto/atomizer. Variable wattage you set it to the watts you like and it adjust itself to the ohms of your carto/atty. A atomizer is used to taste your juice, you drip in a few drops of liquid and vape. While a cartomizer has the atomizer inside packed with a filler material and is able to hold more juice than an atomizer does. 1 to 2 mls of juice.

For a new vaper I would never suggest a rebuildable or a mechanical mod, these things are for advanced users.
If you are looking for an upgrade you should research, vamo, lavatube, zmax, and provari.
See which one looks like it would fill your needs/wants

As for a delivery device I would recommend either a dct cartomizer tank which is a tank that holds juice and feeds a cartomizer or a clearomizer such as the vision vivi nova, kanger protank, evod, or iclear.

There are tons of reviews on this site alone. You will have to do quite a bit of reading but its really the best way to learn.
