I need to have a coil between 1.2 and 1.6 ohms to vape at about 25 wats.
I have tried the 1.2 ohm coil that was made for the triton mini and the 1.8 Clapton coil which was made for the Nautilus and they both give me what I want at 20 to 22 wats which is a much richer, deeper and more flavoursome vape. Unfortunately since they are such small coils they don't last very long at these settings. I can now buy a 1.0 coil for the Triton but it doesn't vape nearly as well, (to hot and not enough cloud) I have six Triton tanks and would like to stay with them but Aspire do not presently make these coils for the Triton and the RTA rebuild unit seems to be a bit of a dead duck! Please advise!
PS: I have been using the 1.2 and the 1.8 coils with the Nautilus 5ml tank!

Hi Roy,
Welcome to ECF!
It seems that you may not be in the right ohm/wattage levels for what you want to achieve. When I first started out, I was using a tank as well on my Kanger Subtank. What I found was this:
Lower ohm coils + medium-high wattage + juice with a higher vg content = more clouds, more flavor
Many people start on coils with their tanks, but want more vapor, and move on to dripping.
While this may be something to consider at a later date, as it is a bit more involved, lets get back to your current situation.

When you lower the ohm rating on the coil, you can increase the wattage. That being said, you can usually also get away with a 50/50 pg/vg juice in them, which will produce a good cloud. If you find your coils are going too fast, you may want to look into a way to rebuild them, or get an "RBA deck" if it is offered to allow you to rebuild coils within your tank. For more information, check out the diy coil section. Best of luck,
Sam
