Hi, New here. I'm wondering if I made the right choice?

Hi all, Kevin here from Massachusetts, US. I did quite a bit of research before ordering a starter kit. I now wish I had done more after discovering how much to choose from out there. I ordered the Nebula Deluxe starter kit from Vapornine. I also ordered 5 extra carts, 5 empty carts and some juice. I have watched enough vids showing how to use it and I feel I'll be fine figuring all this out in no time. I currently smoke Cheyenne "little" cigars because they are only $1.50 USD per pack but I'm sick of smoking. I don't mind spending a bit of money early on during this switch and I see I came to the right place for solid answers. My question is: Did I make a mistake getting the Nebula or will I be good to go? I can already see myself getting something better really fast. It's just tough to know what to get. From what I have gathered already on these forums, is that I'll be happy with the Riva 510 or the ego if I don't like the Nebula.
Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to ECF!

Dude, don't get buyer's remorse too fast! lol. Although I can't tell you much about that specific kit, I can tell you that I started on an impulse buy at a local tobacco shop. Mine was a Smoke 51 trio. It worked. I used it for a month or so. Got to know about e-cigs. Found ECF. Upgraded later after I had "gotten my money's worth" out of it.

Don't worry too much. It's like swimming.... you can study up on it all you want, worry about the perfect form, etc. It's still all new until you get into the water. lol. "Swim" a little bit, see what you like.

Looks like you may wish to order some juices and maybe atomizers/cartos. Vape some different juices. See the vendors list here on ECF for options.

Hardware will change over time. If, by chance, you don't like it... switch.

Good luck with your vaping.

AP

No problem. You just paid a bit too much for a KR808D-1 and you got auto batteries (most people here use and recommend manuals). On the bright side, KR808D-1 is one of the two most recommended minis. You can also get cartos at Vapor4Life.com. You can get extra batteries for $10 at LiteCigUSA.net. And you need eliquid. If you keep cartos damp with eliquid then you should be able to get 4-7 days use out of each. If you run them dry you can singe the stuffing and ruin the taste for refilling. BTW be extra careful using self-filled and refilled cartos on auto batteries. Make sure they are not going to leak before putting on your battery. Autos are more easily damaged or killed by juice leaks.

Thanks a bunch, that's some great info! I am aware I should never let them run dry.

And I heard those VaporNine carto blanks are good. I just bought some to try on my KR8. I usually use Vapor4Life blanks or they have a couple of prefill flavors I like (WOWbacco and WOW Vanilla) and sometimes I buy those to start with since my main vapes are their WOWbacco (a very cocoa tobacco) and various vanillas. Go over to Vapor4Life.com and sign up for their mailing list (in the lower left I think). They have great sales so it's good to get email notice of those. I usually buy when they have a sale because their shipping isn't cheap ($6 or more shipping).

I love Boge blanks on 510 but did not care for them on KR8 - not warm enough so I guess they are higher standard resistance than the V4L ones. Slim ecigs should only use standard resistance stuff.

I recommend for a 3rd battery you consider picking up a manual LiteCigUSA.net and you can also get a standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and drip tip there - then you could use dripping for testing juices (not recommended for auto batteries). DSE901 atty will screw right on a KR808D-1

I love having a 3rd battery and a second charger cable for any ecig (and a charger cable for work too) I use. I charge 2 batteries over night and leave the ecig set up on the 3rd battery all night so it is right there to vape when I get up. Then when I leave for work I put the night battery on to charge and bring 2 batteries with me.
