Hi there. I have a few questions about "safe" batteries to use with my new istick pico. I ordered the LG hg2, Samsung 25r and a LG hb6. The last is a 30A and after reading some other posts on this site, I'm concerned that the hb6 may not be compatible/safe with the Pico. I plan to use 0.5 ohm, 1.0 ohm & 1.8 ohm coils. I don't want to hurt myself. Any advice from experienced vapors will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance to anyone who replies.

Yes, as long as they are all authentic, you should be fine with any of those batteries. Your resistance isn't important other than you need to be able to safely run it at a wattage that will provide a satisfying vape. TOO high, you may find decreased battery life as its a single battery mod, but at the wattages you are talking about, you probably want to be paying attention to runtime (mAh) not maximum capacity, as all of those batteries will be safe, but the ones that should give you more runtime will the be the higher mAh batteries.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I have provided a little more information which might help choosing/evaluating batteries.

Hi and welcome. You'll be perfectly safe up to 60 watts or so on the HG2s and 25Rs. Above that I'd use the HB6s. Battery life is going to suck with them, though. A better option is the LG HD2C or the Sony VTC5A. BH6s in a Pico is a bit of over-bombing.

Thank you suprtrkr, I didn't plan to go much above 40W so I'm glad the batteries will do. I downloaded the manual while I wait for it to arrive and it says to use a battery with a minimum discharge of 25A. Do you know if that is so at 75W it wouldn't make the battery overheat? Or is there another reason for suggesting the higher amp discharge?
Thank you for your reply.

I run 25r's in my Pico. I used to use them exclusively in my mechanicals with some pretty low builds. They were the standard for qjite some time. I have a dual battery setup now and use Samsung 30q batteries. I do 65 watts on that. The battery life on the 30q is amazing but I am not sure if the amperage rating is high enough for a single battery. I think you could go safely up to 45w with them. I am not positive though I am trying to get used to figuring things out in watts instead of ohms.
