Hello!! I smoked since I was 15 and I'm now 41. The longest quit I had was when I was pregnant two years ago. Needless to say the sleep depravation and having a newborn did me in and I started back up again. I was up to 2 PAD ... got sick about a month ago and was in the ER for breathing treatments one night. That was the kick in the .... to quit, for good. Started vaping on the 12th, had a few analogs here and there since. But haven't touched one now in 3 days.

I'm bouncing back and forth between a Juul and an Aspire PocketX. I've been using Victory's Red Line 6 mg and I love the flavor. BUT I think the the VG is too high for me. It's a 70/30 I believe. My reflux which started when I was 19, actually went away after my daughter was born. It's come back with a vengeance the last three days that I've been vaping the Red Line a lot. Any thoughts on a similar flavor that has maybe a 50/50 mix or something higher PG? I have some local vape shops but they have a pretty small selection to choose from. Red Line is a light tobacco with vanilla custard, butterscotch, toasted almond and vanilla bean.

Thanks for any help! I'm excited to be here. I've been reading threads on here for a few weeks now ;)

VG at higher levels can cause people to have what they call a "congested or heavy" feeling in the lungs, that may be the case for you. Personally, I am sensitive to inhaled *PG* but you can do some experiment with your juices to see what the best ratio for you is. There are several online e-juice vendors (you could check the vendors who are approved here) who will mix in the strength and ratio you select. A cheaper option might be to buy a bottle of pure VG or PG and experiment with your ratios (you'd lose nicotine and flavor, but you could pretty easily find which ratio is going to work for you via various dilutions or additions) and then go from there with flavors that you like.

Best of luck, welcome to ECF and congratulations on quitting smoking. Some of your sx may actually be due to that, hopefully Brother Bob will come along with a link, as there is-- somewhere-- a list of sx of quitting smoking. I believe it *may* be in the New members Information forum, but you could do a search, using the search function....

If anything would effect reflux it would be nicotine. Not to say it isn't something else but that would be the most common. That's a 6 mg juice which isn't super high, especially for a 2 PAD smoker (I started on 24 mg). Ant difference between the Juul and the PocketX? Juul is much higher in nic, 48 mg, but is a nic salt which is usually smoother. If you have fewer symptoms maybe stay with Juul for a few days then try again?

I too have reflux but haven't had any problems with the types of flavorings you're using either. Maybe if you were vaping something with say cinnamon you might have some issues, but most flavorings shouldn't aggravate things too much either.

That was my first "real" vape juice. Love it! I have an excellent clone of it that is still in my adv rotation.

Would you point us to that recipe E. I'd like to give it another shot. It's been a while. And you're right, it's a great tobacco to start out with. I really loved its anise~licorice accents, resembling some 7 leaves, at cool temps on a cart back in the day. The one that got me quit tho was 50/50 Boba's+Gorilla J. Alas, it is no more.

Good morning all and good luck. :)

I found it on here but can't remember where from so I can't give proper credit for it to the right person, so apologies to them, but this is the recipe I use:
Ry4D 12.5%
Graham Cracker 2.5%
Acetyl Pyrazine 2%
Ethyl Maltol 1%

All TFA.
