Hi Buzzard - Like you, I'm pretty new to this. I first bought more than I needed/wanted, so my suggestion is that you start with something simple. My husband and I have both been very satisfied with the iTaste VV3.0 kit. It comes with the battery, charging cable, and 5 plastic dual-coil clearomizers for about $35 US. I'm currently upgrading the tanks to Aspire K1s (still pretty inexpensive), but both my husband and I have been happier with these than the more expensive subohm stuff we bought initially. I think it's a great way to try this out, and we're both completely off cigarettes. We also have iStick 30 W batteries that we bought first, but we were not happy with the subohm tanks and just switched to the Aspire Atlantis, which we love. In terms of juice, try as much as you can. We thought we'd want tobacco flavors, but then we discovered the whole range of stuff available! Vista Vapors has been my go-to place for cheap juice, and I've been really happy with them. Hubbie can't get off the Rootbeer Float. I also signed up for Craft Vapery and Zample Box, two services that send you monthly boxes of juice based on a flavor profile you submit. I recommend them, because they're causing us to try stuff we would never pick ourselves. The latest surprise hit it The Standard's Frankenvape, which is kiwi and marshmallow. I thought it would be disgusting, but we both like it a lot!

Overall, this has been a great experience. We're off the cigs, our house smells better (I suspect we do, too), we feel better, and it's actually been pretty easy. I have found that I vape more often than I smoked, probably because it actually tastes good!

Best of luck to you. You're entering a whole new world, but it's satisfying and fun!
