IS40 has built in lipo battery
IS60 use discreet 18650 battery
You may use any atomizer on either device. .

Was recommended Subox Mini as well...watched video for that too...2 airflow seems to be the main attraction...seems bigger in size compare with IS40.

TksIf you know what you want for,,portability & modest price,, IS40 is fine. In watt mode, a fine performer. In TC, lacking.
Seems like TC was grafted to a watt mode device. Try & buy something that was engineered from the ground up to use both modes seemlessly.
I don't have a subbox, so l can't comment..

Welcome @Urdlynn . Glad you found us. I was over 1 PAD (pack a day) smoker for some 40 years. Finally decided to quit. Picked up a Kanger Subox mini for starters. Found a juice that I liked at 12 mg nicotine and have never looked back at cigs since. Although I now own some 8 tanks for my Kanger and it handles all of them fine. Have a Mutation X4 dripper and a TFV4 tank. I like the Kanger because it is small and fits my hands perfectly. Already starting to lower my nic level. I hit mostly 9 mg and some 6's now. All of this is a matter of personal likes and dislikes tho. Hope it helps!

The essential part of the success is to find a liquid for your pleasure. It is easy for the countries who have vendors where one can go in and choose by trying. But in other countries one has to read about them and decide to try. Now if your liquid is good satisfying, right amount of nic and right rate for PG/VG you can make the change in no time. Believe me for the beginning the device has nothing to do for the transition. (If you had seen my first device you would have tickled dead)
For a beginner I can say only
-Whatever you have have spares too.
-If you try sub-ohm (Less than 1 ohm resistance of the coil) dont exceed 6 mg/ml nic.
-On the other hand if you will use them with 1 ohm and up coils use at least 18mg/ml nic first.
-Now they began to use cotton instead of silica so always damp the coil with liquid and begin to use them.
-Always read more about the system you are using in youtube or in forum to learn what complaints users have and what is the solution.
-Dont count the smokes you consumed during your trip count the ones you did not.
