Hi (relatively) new and my Aegis X drops in Wattage quickly

Hi,
I got an old but reliable Eleaf iKonn 220
and an GeekVape Aegis X and I'm using the same tank (GeekVape Zeus) on both with the 0.2 Ohm coils.
I am also using high quality Sony VTC5A Cells.
Thing is that on my Eleaf the Wattage (60-65W) stays the same but when I put the batteries and the tank on the Aegis the wattage drops to like 30-35W. The Cells have 2/5 lines of charge each but is that really allready not enough to provide 60W of power? But why is the Eleaf not dropping in Power when I take a puff?

Thank you.

No way to be sure, but likely due to different electronics in the mods. Might be the Eleaf has a lower "low voltage" point, so doesn't drop the power. At 2 of 5 lines on the battery gauge, not too surprising that the Zeus wants to throttle down.

Also, the age of the cell might be a factor. Heavily used ones don't do as well, no matter how good when new.

Are you saying you have the mod set at 60-65 Watts for both mods, and when fired, the Wattage reading on the UI doesn't drop for the Eleaf, and does for the Aegis X?

Maybe there is no voltage boost on the aegis?
There definitely is. The X has one of the highest boosts of any mod I've seen at an almost verified 12V shown here. The Ikonn 220 isn't. What I'm guessing is, being that it's boosting so much (why on a 0.2Ω coil @ 65W is beyond me), the battery sag might be greater meaning it needs greater room to drop to function properly. It's quite possible that at 20% (even 40%?), the sag limits the output because it doesn't have the battery capacity room to push out a proper amount of boost.

There's also something else to consider. The GeekVape Aegis X also has a function called ABB, or Automatic Battery Balancing where if the batteries are outside of a designated threshold (not sure how far off they have to be), the mod will automatically balance the batteries. I wonder while out of this threshold, the mod doesn't function on a single battery until both batteries are back into sync tolerance. You can turn this function off in the settings which may very well help with consistent performance - just keep an eye on the batteries as they discharge making sure they remain equal.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The Cells have 2/5 lines of charge each

That might be your problem. If you mean that the mod shows one battery has a much lower charge than the other (one @ 2 bars and one @ 5 bars), the one @ 2 bars may be sagging a lot at 60W+ and you get 35W instead.

I don't know why this would not happen on the Ikonn, but maybe the Aegis just doesn't like batteries being so off from each other.

It also sounds like your batteries deed a divorce if they were even married in the first place.
