sounds like a problem to me... If it is minus 6 then the thing should not even fire at all. Rendering the mod useless. so... why wouldn't you take it back? Is a better question

I'm not familiar with that device, but when in doubt, take it back to the vendor and ask for help. It may be defective.

Sorry what I meant lets say both batteries are 74% the minus slot would show 1 battery at 68%.

Exhange batteries and then the battery with 74% shows 68%

Hey guys. New here.

Just got a Scar-18...

All good so far.

My only problem is that 1 battery shows 6 percent lower of charge....

I exchanged the batteries and now the other battery shows -6%....

So both batteries are same percentage but mod shows 6% lower in the minus slot....

Is that a big problem? Shall I take it back?
Hi and welcome,
Which 3.7v 18650 batteries are you using? Brand and model please.
Did you buy them together?
Do you have an external charger?

Where in the wide world of vaping are you located?

Cheers

I have a few mods and can tell you that batteries will drain unevenly. You will have to rotate them during use if you want to try and even out the battery drain.

If these are fresh batteries then you need a piece of equipment to measure there true voltage to see if your vape mod is displaying accurate battery levels.

I'm confused. What do you mean by minus slot?

Hey there... Sorry what I meant was, after charging batteries externally... They are both 100%.

Put in mod, 1 battery shows 100% and other 94%.

Exchanged battery positions now the 1 which showed 100% shows 94% and vice versa.

1 slot counts 6% less charge than what the battery really is.

But after using the mod for a few days now both show 100% always after fully charging them.

So nothing to worry about I guess... :)

I was reading the Arctic Fox firmware manual last night because I came across a setting for BVO (Battery Voltage Offset) and didn;t know what it was.

While you're not using that firmware, the information is still relevant general info about voltage measurements in some dual battery regulated mods...

Some devices have problems with an inaccurate voltage measurement on the batteries. There is a possibility to correct the device voltmeter, for proper voltage reading. It is named BVO — Battery Voltage Offset.

For example, you noticed unbalance of batteries charging in device: on one bank voltage at 100% 4.05 Vanother 4.10V. However, measuring both batteries voltage by a tester or in an external charger gives same voltage: 4.05V and 4.05V. In this case, correction of BVO is necessary."

So the mod's volt meter may be saying the batteries have vastly different voltages, but that may not actually be true. There may not be anything you can do about it unless you mod's firmware allows for setting BVO offets.
