Oh, fancy meeting you here! I'm totally hooked! One nice thing about the nextel; as I tackle the "when to goose" learning curve, the dry hits are mild. I'm catching a bit of flavor that I hadn't before, and I can't tell if its the nextel or the Mountbakervapor Lemonade (they are a bit Philistine as mixers go). I'll be curious what you think of the wicking.

Seriously, though. This is the best vape I've ever had (and it just keeps going); and you, my friend, know I've built alot of setups with the focus of keeping the juice tasting fresh.

So the Nextel seems to be well suited to the bottom feeding setup? I like part about dry hits not being so bad, cause I find that if the setup gets too wet the vape quality can suffer until its vaped thru.

I really can't wait to try that Nextel now.

Welcome new REOnaut :)

ALOHA STATE
CONGRATULATIONS AND ALOHA PDIB!!!!

That is some awesome combo ya got there....and yer coil??? It looks to be a winner.....making me salivate, brother :).

You made me pull the trigger on getting some Nextel last night and looking forward to trying it out. Using #500 ss mesh now and read that the ceramic produces a superior flavorful vape, so I'm all in for that. That long leg of ceramic going around the post is exactly what I was planning on doing, 'cept to tuck the loose end around the outside of the other post, clearing the center of the atty floor for the juice to move freely. Keep us updated on your observations :).

How did you get that wick thru the coil - Houdini couldn't do that!

When Super-x started with his microcoils - i decided to try and one day i made one with about 20+ wraps on it. I had no atomisers wide enough to fit it into - until today!! I've put it to one side and when my new camera eventually arrives, i'll take a pic for posterity. I have a feeling i am going to need the VVG to fire it: it weighs in at a rather hefty 5.73 Ohms!

Your coils are definitely a lot neater than mine, but threading anything apart from cotton thru them is a nightmare.

As an aside your situation is not unique: for 5 months my wife was inseparable from her Evic, until she made off with my Mini. She has not returned it, citing fresher and better flavours as the reason. :(

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! The alien technology has proven to be a successful bio-implant. (i.e. its like part of my hand). On the nextel, I happen to know that s_X_d is about to try some. Anyone wanting more feedback can find some there soon. The Nextel skinny version (called "1/32" at BigTexVapor) fits perfectly in a micro coil wrapped on a 1/16" drill bit (I'm guessing that's 16 gauge too?). Needs a drop of juice and some insistent pressure and twisting/corkscrewing to start it; but once the tip is in . . . . . astroglide.

Trunkerman, if 20 wraps was 5.something ohms, the bore of the coil was about double that of a proper micro :)

Try using a 1/16 or less object as a mold. Then 20 wraps will probably weigh in around 2.7 ohms.

Good luck big daddy.
