Congrats and welcome. Just keep it in the road. You'll be fine. One day youll smell a cigarette or see one and wonder why you ever wanted one. After 2+ years, the memories of myself smoking are just fuzzy, surreal blips. Your brain "just clicks" one day and you won't care about cigarettes. You're doing just fine. :toast:

So how do I figure out if it's time to change setups of there is something that will work better, and I can't keep a battery charged for the life of me, they work great right after charging and good for a couple hours but it's not the same after that until they just die :(

If you want longer battery life then youll have to settle for a larger device like an MVP. If you want better battery regulation (the same intensity of vape for the life of the battery) then youll need to get a higher quality chip, i.e. a better mod. I suggest the itaste MVP ~$50 or a provari/dna device ~$100.

Sadly, today's battery technology makes it difficult to have a great performing mod be very pocket friendly

Just thought I would introduce myself. I'm from Alabama, and I started vaping in December. I went through a tough time find something that worked and I just recently gave up the stinkies! Hoping to learn more! Any advice is welcome :)

Hi KelMichelle... I just had to respond to anyone who starts off with "hi y'all!" -- figure we more or less speak the same language! :D Welcome to ECF!

Welcome to ECF!!!! So tell us what you're using. You'll get plenty of sound advice. In the blind here but you can't beat an MVP for the price.

Back ups for your back ups. This is my mantra. I was never without a pack of cigs and one in reserve so I am never without back ups to me vape ware.

You can get higher mAh ego style batteries if that is what you are using and you can have one on the charger while you are using one. mAh=milliamp hours I believe. If the battery is rated 450 mAh it should provide 4 hours of vaping pleasure. You can easily get them up to 1100mAh online and from local stores.

The MVP version 2 is a great next step in my opinion. I am using advanced personal vaporizers, mechanical with no circuitry and regulated like the MVP and the ZMax. I have a Reo and it is a great mod...best I have found but requires that you wrap your own coils and stuffs like that. I wouldn't jump on that right away...I had to have a good vape nearby when I was trying to get coils right. It was frustrating for me.

Back to the MVP. It has great battery life, you can vape on it while it is charging (a big plus), it can charge your other electronics through the USB output on the bottom and it provides a very consistent output to your atomizer. The started kit comes with everything you need to vape including an atomizer. They are about $39.99 on eBay and 101vapes. Well worth the money, IMHO.

One drawback: they are disposable. The batteries aren't replaced in the normal course of events. Some folks have tried but I hear it is a pain and it is kinda expensive. Since they are rated at 500 cycles (charging) one should last two years at minimum. I have two and should order one more since the first one is about a year old now. I love them. Great for on the run. The Reo is bestest of all but the MVP with a good atomizer is a win as well.

I live in Alabama (don't hold that against me) and I just want to say how absolutely thrilled I am about the number of B&M stores within 30 miles of me.

Auburn, AL
Opelika, AL
Phenix City, AL
Columbus, GA

When you add them all up there are 15 stores in a 30 mile radius all around me. The owners are all super cool, they carry great products, plenty of juice variety (home and more "famous" brands), and are so eager to help.

KelMichelle... if you need anything let me know
