I may be a newbie here, but have read all the laws and cases, and I will be organizing my new company as No Smoke-No harm LLC. Based on what I read, many will disagree. I say, so what. This industry is dead, regulated, or regulated out of existence. Obamas' FDA had some clout - no longer. Somebody must make a bold and wise move....and that would be me! go on and tell me where I am wrong....I can take it :)

I always thought what started this fight was that damned family tobacco act thingy 2009. Seeing the numbers of the votes (on wiki) it's impossible that it wasn't a bipartisan bill... career politicians from all sides thought this was a great idea.
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm only very superficially into US politics. I'm certainly not intending to start a politics flamewar here, rest assured it's not my intention to argue for or defend any side.

I was referring to the FDA ban back in 09.

Oh, those are unrelated? I thought that the family smoking prevention and tobacco control act was what gave the FDA the authority to regulate all "tobacco" products (again, I'm just a guy that read some stuff online a few years ago, I'm not at all certain that's true ;)).

Yes that is correct, that is what put tobacco under the FDA's umbrella. However it wasn't the Family Tobacco Act that banned vaping it was the FDA.

Got it, until very recently (about 26 minutes ago) I believed that to be the same legislation
Was both in the same year in the same month so "very hard" to tell the difference ;)

I'd love me some good regulation.

I'd love to know that all the juice makers are up to a certain standard of cleanliness and are using quality ingredients.

I'd love it if Smok couldn't cut corners with cheap chips that can't protect against overcharge.

I'd love to be assured that the wire I order isn't exposed to toxic substances or industrial quantities of grease and oil.

I'd love to know that domestic producers of mods and juice don't have to worry about if their livelihood will be made illegal the next day.

I'd love for legislation to make nicotine e-liquids from other countries be legal for import.

I'd love it if a basic warranty would need to be included with all vaping hardware.

I'd love for vaping to be recognized as a proven smoking cessation option, with basic mods and unflavoured liquids covered by insurance companies. (Like insulin and glucose monitors.)

I wouldn't love it if it were at the cost of cigarette-comparable tariffs and taxes, but that's why it needs to be regulated as a smoking cessation product and not a recreational drug. In my country you can't tax medicine, and vaping has saved many of our lives and/or improved our health. That's a big deal where I'm from. It means tax dollars are going to better places.

Welcome and glad you joined.
How long have you used tobacco and what form of usage (snus, smoke, cigar, pipe etc.)?
The reason I'm asking is I wondering if you ever had a habit that you could't easily break.

Uh, welcome. I'm a bit confused, honestly. Are you starting a vape shop? Or some sort of "company" to go after the regulatory 'part" of vaping right now? Either way I wish you luck, and I'm guessing there will be lots to learn along the way.. You'll certainly be getting "in depth" at some point with the FDA (IMHO) but I wish you the best of luck, whatever it is. Etc.

Welcome :)
