Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. New to the vaping community. I'm wondering why I'm not allowed to post yet.

I posted on the "ask the veteran's thread" about buying a Silver Bullet only to find that my post was being held for moderation. How strange..

Anyway, nice to meet y'all. Name's Mark.

Oh thanks for the explanation guys, then maybe I can ask about the Silver Bullet here? I don't really need "vets" to help out really. Long as u guys can give me advice :)

Is it appropriate to post here?

Sure, the New Members Forum is the space made to ask questions about equipment and technique for newbies. If the mods decide your post should be moved to an equipment specific forum they'll move it and redirect traffic.

AWesome Division! Thanks. Okay here goes..

SIlver Bullet:

I am a newb and I have used disposable e-cigs before and I've also got an EGO-T ordered on the way in the mail. But my fingers are itching...

I saw some really inspiring videos on Youtube about the Silver Bullet and apparently, because of the high voltage (6 v's?), it heats up the atty much more and thus produces better, throat hit, warmer and thicker vapor and also better flavor - Those are exactly what I'm after.

However, the SB doesn't seem to be a cartridge or tank-style device, so how do you use this thing? Direct dripping? If so, how do you guys deal with taking a Sliver Bullet on the road? It can only handle a drop or 2 per time, direct into the atty, right? What if you're out walking around in town, u take 5 puffs and the atty dries out... do you have to carry a bottle with you all the time to keep dripping every 5 or so puffs? Doesn't that get a bit troublesome? Please enlighten me...

However, I was told to check out the Altsmoke store where they make these silver bullets, and I was confused as to what to buy.

The base unit comes in at $89, but without nothing else. No atty's, no batteries, and no charger. I don't know if I should be buying all these things to start vaping with it.. Apparently the SB also uses 510 atty's, so does that mean I can use a Joye 510 atty, or any brand of 510 atty? Doesn't have to be LR at all?

How do you charge the batteries on the SB's?

Thanks in advance guys, a lotta questions :(

Mark

I've never used a SB but I can help with a few of your questions. High voltage does produce warmer thicker vapor and so on, but for 6v vaping you'll need to get a high-resistance atty (3 ohm) or you'll be popping atty's non-stop. You can get the same type of vape using a low-res atty (1.5 - 2 ohm) at 3.7 - 4 volts (it's all about the end wattage, different combinations of voltage and resistance can produce the same effect)

If the SB has a 510 connection any 510 part will work with it. If you prefer to drip (and I do!) get some 3ml bottles when you order liquid and transfer your liquid to the small bottles so they're easy to carry. I routinely carry 2-3 small bottles of different flavors, and it's no more work to drip than it is to light a cig. If you're worried about driving, there are 510 cartos (a 1 piece atty/tank combo) some of which hold around 3 ml's of liquid. I don't use them, but Boge seems to be very highly thought of by the people who do.

After looking at their site, you'll need to buy batteries and a charger with the unit. The batts are removable and you charge them on a wall charger.

On a personal note, maybe try looking at the Buzz it's a little more expensive ($120 for the kit with batts and charger), but it's variable voltage so you can adjust your power to fit whatever juice you're using at the time.

Hi Division, one problem with dripping with 510 atty's from what i've seen. Some how the mod's always create reservoirs near the 510 connection point because the 510's leak juice. This is what I've read/heard. So what happens when you walk around town with that in your pocket? Does it make a mess?
