Long time smoker and short time vaper'er... I smoked for about 20 years and just started vaping. I got juice from vapor-state.com and luckily they were able to help me get a ecig that so far, has met all of my needs. I have been vaping for about 4 months and now am thinking about going to a temp control box mod. What is everyones thoughts on a good "tc" mod that can give me good vape and not make it difficult? My current setup is a istick30 and a aspire nautilus mini. Thanks and excited to see how this goes for me. I feel great after quitting... Its amazing. 4 months and I can run again!

Hi Mike and welcome. The evic VTC has been getting good reviews but has had a few issues with it dropping out of temp control mode. The Subox kit is another option. I personally use an IPV4 with a Subtank Plus and enjoy it very much. You will most likely want a sub ohm capable tank and the Subox combo looks very attractive. So does the evic for that matter. Check out temp control mod reviews on Utube and read the reviews. Vape on.

I don't know much about temp control, someone should come along soon to help you out. :)

Congratulations on the 4 months!

And as I type this, I see WonderDude has shown up to give you some direction :D

Hi and welcome to the board. 'Gratz on kicking the tobacco demon. My TC mod is the Snow Wolf 200W. I love it to pieces and would cheerfully recommend it to anybody, but it may be a bit more than you're interested in. Not cheap, either, it runs about $100, plus batteries and a charger.

Awesome feedback - Thanks everyone! I'm looking at the running the iPV3-Li 165W with the update to 200w and possibly getting the Kanger Subtank with ni200 coils. I love my 30w eleaf and nautilus but I want more flavor and clouds. I know I'm new here but I can't speak enough for Vapor States juice... The "Monkey Fart" flavor is ON POINT (I really like banana)! Anywho... If I decide on the IPV3, what are the best batteries to get w/ it? I mean, I am coming from something that I just plugin and forget... The iPV3 needs two 18650 batteries... Which ones would be best!? Thanks for everyone's input... I love the vapping community... So cool that everyone is able to contribute to help people quit such a toxic habit. I mean wow, I have gone from 24mg to 6mg in 4 weeks... and I HATE the smell of smokers....Why couldn't I find this 2 years ago!? :(

Probably not ideal. (If it's the Pink Samsung ICR)

Who are Vapor State?... There's not a single specification about that battery on their website? That is poor and irresponsible i.m.o.

$6.99 for an GS-H2? (Evod H2) That is a terrible price. It's a 98c atomizer.

Awesome looking out - Do you have a preferred site for hardware? I was directed to Vapor State for their juice. I've tried other local brands and theirs is my personal fav. They seemed to have good prices on the eleaf and natulius... Again, thanks for the help!!!

    Congrats Mike.... I noticed most folks on here either get their hardware from vape stores located near them or they purchase online from various vaping web sites. I usually do most of my hardware shopping on Amazon because I like their speedy delivery and service. Unlike most folks, I am not too picky about my batteries as long as I know that their continuous current rating is high enough for my mod so that they don't blow up in my face. I can usually buy 2 18650 batteries rated at 35 Ampere continuous current for around 9 dollars and they get shipped to my house very quickly. There are tons of places online to get 18650 batteries.

    WHERE TO GET BATTERIES

    Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

    * RTD Vapor
    * Illumination Supply
    * Lighthound
    * Orbtronics

    Check out a blog post by @Baditude (one of our resident battery/safety expert) regarding batteries and chargers.

    A 30A CDR is the highest amp battery you will find. Any battery labeled 35A, 38A, 40A, etc. is NOT LABELED with the CDR.

    Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised
    * A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

    Then there is this blog post by @Mooch (another battery expert). He's been bench testing many batteries lately.

    Yikes! I will be buying my batteries from a different place from now on for sure. Thanks for the great info guys :) Yes, I know about the Sony and Samsung batteries but wasn't aware that they were cloned (faked) as well. So far (knock on wood) I have had real good success with the particular 18650's I have been getting from amazon, but going back and taking a better look at what I have been buying I can see what you guys mean. Thanks for the great info.
