I came up with something surprisingly good (to me anyway) that I wanted to share. A little background first.I am fortunate enough to live on a heavily wooded bit of acreage. I have a constant supply of Hickory, Maple, and Oak that I make good use of barbecuing. Tending a fire and watching the sunset from my deck overlooking the lake is my favorite way to de-stress at the end of a long day. So, when I saw the Expert Hickory flavor I was intrigued. I ordered it and it set in my mixing kit for a month or so because I really didn't know what to do with it. Well, a couple weeks ago I was having one of those days where I needed something with a stronger flavor. I was also about to light the fire in the barbie. I decided to try something.10% Expert Hickory 10% Maple Wow, was I glad I did! This one can be soaked in hot water for half an hour and vaped right away, but is best when allowed to "marinate" for 2 or 3 days. You get the hickory right off the bat and the sweetness of the maple hits you when you exhale and it reaches your nose. So, there is that fairly strong hit of flavor followed by a clean, slightly sweet aftertaste. It is potent enough to cut through whatever I've been eating or drinking and I can still taste flavor when there are a lot of allergens in the air messing about with my sinuses and effecting my sense of taste...something that is sometimes and issue with me with very subtle flavors. That is a problem that leads me to want a cigarette badly some days...nothing taste right. I don't want tobacco flavors...trying to train myself away from that, but this seems to help with that craving for smoke. Girlfriend says it smells like I'm cooking bacon.Anyway, if you like hanging around the BBQ, you might try a test batch of this.Hope someone enjoys it!-Rob

As a side note...One thing I have learned. If you mix something that you think ought to be good, but it is awful, come back to it in a week.
One example is I got a couple samples free with my order from Dawn. I didn't like them at all at first, but a month later I tried them again and they are pretty good. Sometimes we have bad tastebud days, sometimes things just need time to mature...like a good wine.

So, give it a break and a second chance before you throw it out.
