Well, the over 9000 is a dragon ball z refrence.

The issue I'm having with the hells gate is I think it's not getting enough power. I'm currently at 0.3 ohms and it's quite weak.

The build is a 28 gauge, 4 wrap at 0.3 ohms - I imagine is the batteries. i'm using are either a set of LG's or a set of samsung 25R. But they're not pushing enough to make the hells gate work correctly OR how I imagined how it would work.

Where as on my sigelie and the rda's work a treat. Single battery and a single RDA on the hells gate works perfectly but the duals are slower to fire up and not great for vaper production. I mean ok it works but it's not a thick plume as a single battery and RDA.

So my theory is, there is not enough amp draw to create a plume worthy of a dual RDA

EDIT: I've tried with 30 gauge and while the plume is good the burnt taste is not :/

I don't think amperage is the issue. It could very well just be the type of metal of the device. I assume the 'hells gate' is some type of mechanical mod? I would look over your coil builds as well as dual coils are typically better than you described. Resistance with two coils in parallel, assuming both coils are the same resistance, is half of the shared value. The actual formula for dual resistors (coils) is Rtotal = R1×R2/(R1+R2).

Basically, the dual coil has a lower resistance than one coil and really should be performing. A few factors that I can think of that would restrict performance would be the diameter of the coil. Larger diameter can result in longer heat up times and overall poor performance. Another would be uneven spacing or uneven wrapping. It could possibly be the distance from the posts. Basically, just think in terms of electricity. The easier the path, the better the performance... to be simple about it.

I would recommend checking your builds before trying new batteries.

Yes it's a mech mod.

Current diameter is 2.0mm. I could always rebuild them at 1.0mm but then I have massive issues with wicking it and the ohms drop to what I believe are dangerous levels. This is where I'd need to add more wraps to ensure my ohms level thus increasing ramp up time.

When I build my coils I try to wrap them as neatly as I can and then I push them together on the jig itself. For what it's worth and because I'm in a rebuilding mood, I'll wrap my coils at the lowest jig setting and take it from there.

There are a lot of factors to consider. Mind posting a few pics of the build?

Impressive.... So after a lot of wicking issue due to me wearing sunglasses or just plane old eye sight problems, its more like a hells gate than before. I've cancelled the order of the other batteries.

Watch this space tomorrow or tonight when I make a video of what it's doing now.

Thanks for your help!

A kind word if I may - I do feel quite stupid and troublesome to you all and I would like to firstly thank you all and apologize. I am not very good at this and I feel some what childish running to this board every time I have a problem. But my deepest thanks you to all for your patience with me and my problems

Now I'm dissy from vaping this too much lol XD

    Hello again!

    I'm looking for a set of Sony US18650VTC5 – 2600 mAh – 30 A or something similar.

I'm really looking for something that will provide a massive boost to my hells gate. And it appears everything I'm writing is bold so apologizes on that.

Looks like @Revelene has started you back on the path towards Hell's Gate Happiness. :)

Another thing which can affect mech mod performance is the voltage the battery drops to when the mech is fired...higher equals better. The Sony VTC4 and LG HD2 did the best in my tests at 30A in that regard.

As @sonicbomb mentioned, the VTC5 is a 20A battery. The HB6 runs the coolest, and is the safest at high amps, but its low capacity forces its voltage to drop quickly...not good for a mech.

I would recommend trying the VTC4's.

They're like unicorn droppings... impossible to find in the UK currently. But I have to agree with your statement because of countless hours of research, they performed the best! Thank you again for your input.

I'm currently typing this in a fog of vape.... My girlfriend won't be impressed! The last time I created this type of fog at home, the fire alarm wasn't too happy hahaha!

    Always in stock, always reliable.

I had a read again of the coils you are building, and I think that and almost certainly your wicking may be the issue.
4 wraps of 28 gauge is a little short on surface area. If you want plumes you will need a heavier guage wire which will allow you to use more wraps with a larger internal diameter.

    These are both dual coils:

    Try 26G 6 wraps 2mm ID - 0.33 ohms
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators
    Or
    24G 8 wraps ID 2.5mm - 0.33 ohms
Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators

Both these two builds draw about 13 amps. Wicking should be firm(ish) in the coil but able to move, the tails should just touch the deck.

    Worth trying and thank you!

I'm currently charging my phone and batteries and I'll post a video of what it's currently doing!

The main issue with the wicking is my eye sight, which can only be fixed by me going and getting a new set of glasses.

Watch this space however, because I'l upload a video of the Hell's Gate.

I'm actually testing that battery right now. Unfortunately, it's really just a 20A/2500mAh battery that utterly collapses at 40A. :(

Oh no! Really? Darn. I guess the Sony VTC4 and LG HD2 stay on top... :/

Two of them handle my 0.1 ohm coil builds like a champ, though having them in parallel is almost like cheating and almost any battery would do good enough..
