Honestly, I would say not really. I have used both and can tell a difference after using them for a month or so, but it is negligible in the long run.

The 14500 and the 16340 I see the greatest amount of difference. The 18650 I see no differences at all.

You can feel a little extra oomph from the IMRs but it isnt the difference in night and day IMO.

So yes, there is a slight difference with th IMR's in a good way.. But keep using your trustfires and you wont regret it a bit.. Also the IMRs dont stay charged as long..

You really should be using high drain batteries when using LR atomizers. If you are using regular atomizers or using a regulated 5V mod they aren't necessary as a regular battery has a high enough drain rate to power them vs. the LR style. Also 6V vaping with HR atomizers don't need IMR batteries either.

I got high drain 14500s with my Wetbox and while they're a huge improvement over the RN4081 batteries, they don't last as long as I expected. I was reading posts where people were claiming things like "12 hours of HEAVY vaping" and "I change mine every 2 or 3 days", etc. Personally, I am a moderate-to-heavy vaper (not much during the day, but I use it like a pacifier at night) and I burn through both of my batteries in a day. The one I use in my Wetbox hits the charger as soon as I get home. The other get charged when I get to work the next day. All-in-all, I suspect I am averaging about 6 hours from each battery. AND I am using regular (not LR) 510 cartos. They're the high drain 600mAh 14500s manufactured for Nhaler.

I just picked up a couple of regular, gray Ultrafire 900mAh 14500 batteries from COV, which are charging as I type. I will be curious to see how they compare, especially in terms of how long they hold a charge.
