high drain battery question

the lavatube comes with a high drain 18650... If I just buy the regular 18650 flat nose ones will I have any issues?

no but it won't work as well at higher volts. the protected batteries cant take the volts like the imr does. the protected batteries just dont supply enough power. use the imrs you wont regret it. even though they are less mah, they last just as long in my opinion cause you can pull all the power out of an imr, whereas the protecteds will trip the switch when it starts to get low when you put it under load.

Those are the fake AW IMR 18650. Get the real ones...rtd vapors has them for under 10$ and ships FAST. Last week it was 40 hours from my order to my door.

Also, The protected batteries will NOT work in the lavatube. They are a little longer than the high drain and the cap wont screw on. I have both and have tried. Get the high drain...this device was made for that type of battery.
