I know ... might seem stupid but this has been my biggest reason for not pulling the trigger on one.

Bad enough when I see a new scuff or scratch on one of my cheaper mods ... can't imagine how id feel with a high end one!

Soooo ... what model if any seems to be more leniant with scratches and scuffs? Should I look into a brushed or matte finish?

As far as "scratch resistent" I dont know, but I know Super T Manufacturing offer's free lifetime refinishings on their mods. They made the PrecisePlus and the new upcoming ELA telescopic mod. They are also the only mod manufacturer that I know of that use rhodium plated brass for contacts.

yeah sup t makes some amazing mods and if you ordered a polished one they will make it satin finish for u later if you want. The rhodium over gold plated brass contacts and dual grounding switch really helps to reduce voltage loss. I love the fact i can take a damp cloth to clean the contacts no need to polish or fiddle with the connections, it really is a maintence free mod.

I cant wait to add the ELA to my sup t family ;)

Look for a stainless steel tube if you want longevity in the finish. Brass is relatively soft compared to steel, chrome chips and flakes, and cheaper mods will generally be made of aluminum and other soft metals that are cheaper and easier to machine and manufacture. You also want SS threads so that atomizers won't wear out the threads as you screw them on and unscrew them over time. You replace batteries almost daily. SS stands up to continued use.

My SS mod still looks pristine. If you look really close, you can see tiny scratches and nicks from dropping it on concrete multiple times. They aren't apparent unless you look really close and rotate it to reflect light off the tube.

Thank you. Am waiting for mine and couldn't remember which finish could be redone to the other later on if desired. Yours was the only on point post that came up in my search.
