Hmm.. Not sure if I am hijacking this thread if I ask this: are there any regulars here that are active duty military? Or if you were military and deployed, what mod/atty combo would you take on your tour to Afghanistan? I do have the resources to clean the set up and to build coils, and cotton wick, but will not have time tweaking with atties much.

I just want a set up that's low maintenance, reliable and flexible for a few months. I was thinking a dna 30 mod possibly a ZNA with a kfl or a RSM rocket combo. What do you guys think? I think dings and scratches will add character to this device so I'm not worried about that.
As Crazyarms said... i'd probably want to stick to a simple but sturdy mech of sorts. And that AR certainly looks to fit the bill.

As far as toppers, I find that i fiddle far less with a dripper than with a Kayfun.. and when wicks need replacing, its a much quicker process with drippers (not that kayfuns take that long either). I change coils maybe every month or two... and cotton wicks generally last a week or two now days (was about every 3 days when i first started using cotton). Plus, drippers will keep the overall length shorter... and to me, drippers are far simpler design/parts.. so again, less likely to give you issues. (but i'd probably take a few, just in case).

I'd think my primary concern would be battery longevity (due to heat and elements) and being able to charge, etc. I'd be sure to have plenty on hand and be sure to set up getting new ones periodically via care packages, if at all possible... better to have too many, than not enough...

... Thanks for your service! I'm a old Navy Vet... and i'm not sure i would have had enough access to power if I had vaped back then... its not like we didn't have outlets and such... but just hard to recall if I'd have enough access since obviously, they're all community... plus, who knows how many other vapers there would have been, etc.

Thanks again... and always praying for the safety of our troops... regardless of Politics.

so many choices.....and a new member joins the family:
Brass Cartel Set #500
I am a huge fan of the Chi family- The Chi Megan #284, The Full Brass Chi You #2469, The Naval Brass Chi Sleek #224
If Mojo is paying attention- please get rid of the stainless springs in the Chi Megan- replace with Silver Plated Brass Springs!
I was able to self-mod the Megan successfully using the Poldiac Spring for the Positive Post and Fastenal.com for the switch...
Love drippers: my collection is growing immensely and I realized today- the Patriot is as fresh as ever....
Patriot (Glass Cap, 24K Gold Cap, V2, SS Polished/Brushed),
APO Copper Sleeve, 3D Hybrid with Naval Brass 69 #80
The Tobh Atty, Cyclone, Stillare, Cerberus Hybrid with Full Brass Hades #3, Nucleus with Chi Megan Top Cap, Origen V2

Did you brush the Nef-i switch and top cap yourself? I wasn't aware that they came in different finishes other than polished.

Beautiful mod and picture.

A buddy of mine lathed and brushed it. It came out better then what I expected. The only gripe i have with the switch is that it's super long and so I'm trying to figure out how to shorten it. In addition, Nemesis magnets work perfectly with the switch.

Trying to be like you, Malefilipinonurse. The funny thing is, I just got the tube yesterday got ready to post and saw yours. LOL

HAHAHAH. Coincidence?? I think not!...

Another thing, since you have the switch, did you do anything to shorten it? I think the throw is too long...

Trust me. It was a coincidence. The throw is pretty long to me also. The switch is pretty smooth though. I have not tried to replace the screw with a longer one yet, but that may be a solution.

I'm not in the military, but a microstick with a Spheroid can take a lot of abuse and is not susceptible to leaking due to altitude pressure and temperature changes. If it's a variable voltage mod you want, then a ProVari is the most robust and dependable mod.

Was looking for some copper drip tips to accent my XXIX and found a Vicious Ant Chaplin but am curious to the OD of the Drip tip. I know a few use it on their Quasars and wondered if anyone could see if it is even close to 12.5 mm or .5"

If you want to goa more custom route, check out ohman's drip tips. Hes a supplier on ECF who makes some pretty sweet custom tips. I believe he makes them custom to your specs as well.
