As Crazyarms said... i'd probably want to stick to a simple but sturdy mech of sorts. And that AR certainly looks to fit the bill.Hmm.. Not sure if I am hijacking this thread if I ask this: are there any regulars here that are active duty military? Or if you were military and deployed, what mod/atty combo would you take on your tour to Afghanistan? I do have the resources to clean the set up and to build coils, and cotton wick, but will not have time tweaking with atties much.
I just want a set up that's low maintenance, reliable and flexible for a few months. I was thinking a dna 30 mod possibly a ZNA with a kfl or a RSM rocket combo. What do you guys think? I think dings and scratches will add character to this device so I'm not worried about that.
As far as toppers, I find that i fiddle far less with a dripper than with a Kayfun.. and when wicks need replacing, its a much quicker process with drippers (not that kayfuns take that long either). I change coils maybe every month or two... and cotton wicks generally last a week or two now days (was about every 3 days when i first started using cotton). Plus, drippers will keep the overall length shorter... and to me, drippers are far simpler design/parts.. so again, less likely to give you issues. (but i'd probably take a few, just in case).
I'd think my primary concern would be battery longevity (due to heat and elements) and being able to charge, etc. I'd be sure to have plenty on hand and be sure to set up getting new ones periodically via care packages, if at all possible... better to have too many, than not enough...
... Thanks for your service! I'm a old Navy Vet... and i'm not sure i would have had enough access to power if I had vaped back then... its not like we didn't have outlets and such... but just hard to recall if I'd have enough access since obviously, they're all community... plus, who knows how many other vapers there would have been, etc.
Thanks again... and always praying for the safety of our troops... regardless of Politics.
