hcigar are the ones who have made the best clone, yes. (I don't know if they licensed it, but doubt it)
I think the original by Kato was limited to a 600 pc. run @ $240.00-280.00 ea.
Edit: Correction- “The original run was set to have 500 hammers and became 510 because of replacements on damaged ones. It is now come to light that vape Prophets got 300 and Breaktime got 500 ADDITIONAL Hammers to the original 510 run of them."

There has already been some very nice high end mods listed. Here are a couple of more.

2zh0gef.jpg The Roller. Probably one of the cheaper ones you'll find
H-GU-POLDIAC-2T.jpg The Poldiac.

The V3 Flip, Roller SS-IM and ZNA are the ones I'm most interested in. I will be wearing f5 out starting on the 27th if ZEN is still on schedule.

I have a Black Mini with the Blue LED. I love it.

I have learned that owners of the Provari have a unique perspective on vaping and the devices they use. Quality, consistency and dependability appear to trump all other aspects of the vaping experience.

I’m on board with all of that but… I will admit that my eyes have wandered from the beloved one. Please forgive my transgression.

I have lusted after a Semovar. After handling one I found it to be way too big. Todd, the YouTube guy, makes a similar comment. I’m good with the 22/23mm diameter, it’s the length of the thing; it’s a beast. (Let’s please skip the all too obvious comments, OK?) I borrowed a friends Nemesis. In 18350 mode it feels great in my hand with his KayFun Light on top. Just terrific until I vaped it. The voltage drop off, every hit is different. That same Kayfun on my Provari is a dream. I’m going to get one. Should make a nice friend for the Sofia which should hit my doorstep today, postal gods willing. I put the Nemesis in 18490/18500 mode and the length is good, I could live with that.

What I have learned is that I like 18350/18490 mode mods (without a huge control head on top of that) and I like something that is regulated.

So, you are surely asking, why not just stick with the Mini and get a second one? I find the Provari to be aesthetically challenged. I’m going to get a Parish V19 case to hide the pockmarks and a Hippo v2 to take care of the fitment and airflow challenges. That’s all good, but… anyhow I think I will check out some other options at this point in time. I WILL get a second Provari, but not this time around.

I’m thinking about the GP PAPS X, kicked. I’m thinking about the Nemesis, kicked. I have considered clones (Nemesis) but I think I will stalk the real things until I can score one. The Kick v2 is available, I think that’s an easy choice… well the only choice. High quality button top and flat top IMR batteries are available, no issues there that I can see with getting the kick to play nicely with a high end mechanical mod.

What wisdom will the ProVarinati share? What have you looked at? What made it onto your wish list? What have you bought? How does the vape compare to our beloved?

---

Just a note: If this turns into a Provari VV vs. VW shouting match, I will report myself for posting flame bait and accept whatever punishment I may have coming.

Have you considered a bottom-feeder? I really like the flavor, it's as close to dripping as you can get. Since the systems are different it's a nice complement to the ProVari. Have you noticed how many of the ProVarinati also have Reos?

For Mechanicals, I just love the Poldiac... I had the Cloud Wizard edition, which came with brushed "Shirt and Pants" but I didn't like the brushed, so I'm kinda waiting now until they have a full polished model in stock... Was able to sell the Cloud Wizard Poldiac for every dime I spent on it. They have one of the best voltage drops out there, and IMO the best switch system on the market. That's debatable of course, just my opinion.

For regulated devices, I still love my ProVari... But I would love to play around with a Semovar, and how could you not just drool over the craftsmanship of the Wizard Evolved? That thing is just fabulous looking... Again, my opinion... Problem I have with the Semovar and DNA-20 mods in general is that the manufacturers simply machined a tube around someone elses engineering efforts. That's where I think the ProVari has an edge... Everything was designed in house by ProVape... They have the engineers, machinists, customer service, and reputation of a top shelf company. And in comparison to almost everything we have mentioned in this thread, they are priced better, and readily available.

That's the real issue with much of the high end vaping market... It's all made of the elusive metal "Unobtanium"

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts. I think I'm going to get the GP PAPS X. I think it will be great with my SnP 23 and give me the size and look I want. I've ordered the Kick v2 (a real one, not a knockoff I hope).

I agree that many of the mods mentioned derive their value from exclusivity, and then have that value diminished by the 1-1 clones. The PAPS X while not always available is not made from 100% Unobtanium and has yet to be cloned... So, I'll wait for the next GP Vaporday.

In the mean time I will amuse myself with the Sophia. USPS reports that sorting is complete. I think that means today is the day. My Loki Lab tank arrived Yesterday. I like the SnP a lot but the Loki tank really looks great on the Provari.

Hammer by Kato Clone with a Kayfun 3.1 clone. I need this. That the Kayfun would also work on my ProVari isn't even a factor at all.

Self control...gone...placed order minutes ago. Gahhh!

edit: It's a Rainbow Heaven clone, better than the Tobecco clone and not as good as the Hcigar clone, but for the price, I couldn't say no. If it's good, I'll pick up an Hcigar clone when they come back in stock.

What you didn't buy the real thing? there is one available on e-bay for 535 dollars and you missed one in the classy's for half that price.

Tsk, tsk, tsk shame on you.:D
I'm not going to empty my bank account just to try my first mech mod. Maybe next year I'll get the real one if one is available. :D

Pssst I just ordered my first Kayfun light knockoff yesterday, see how this works before I even think of the real deal.

Yah... well, in my case, the clones I got are nicer than the real deal from the pix, and I scrutinized the pix of the real deals... I'm pretty retentive about materials, I care far less about the name. Some real deals are not very good deals, like the Kayfun Lights. You'd think if they spent all that time developing it, SvoMestro would have better quality control. Did you see some of the threads about the original finishes? Units shipped with metal shavings not removed, in broken cardboard boxes... what the heck.
