awesome thread... I've waited for this thread for what feels like years, always liked the high end mods thread but just felt left out because that was only considering mechs, it's about time we had a high end regulated mods thread. here are some of mine :)

Y'all got some real cutting edge stuff here ! Can I add a few Dinosaurs to your Exhibit ?
Prior to the advent of Rebuildable Atomizers, in the ancient days of eGo Twists and Vision Spinners, escaping the shadows of Colonial Maine;

The Reos Mods VV Grand. Honestly, I can't remember if I used single or dual coil cartomizers back when. But the RM2 made life better.
Seems almost 'Mickey Mouse' by today's standards, but a Range of 3.5- 5.5V, 15W Maximum, Reverse Current, Over-Temp and Over-Current Protections seemed so advanced back when. No longer in production, my two still function normally. But two years does seem like an millennium in vaping terms, doesn't it ?

The Evolve DNA-40 board in a Nutshell

The DNA-40 brings in a new era of "temperature controlled vaping" (TCV) - and the use of NR wires (Nickel) for heating the coil to maintain the temperature around selected ºF (soon switchable with ºC as well).

Off course the board is also capable of being used in its regular DNA mode with a 40W max. But the key feature is the introduction of TCV.

Other features of DNA-40 board include:
1. Reverse polarity protection
2. Adjustable from 1W to 40W
3. Fires until 0.16Ω when Kanthal / Nichrome wire is used
4. Fires until 0.10Ω when NR wire is being used
5. Automatic sensing between type of coil used (NR or R wire)
6. Max Temp adjustable till 600 ºF
7. Rails (removable) used for mounting the board
8. Voltage step down ability
9. Screen Dim time reduced
10. Soft limiting
11. Ramp-up power (Power Boost!)
12. Other standard features* of the DNA boards still continue

NOTE: Protovaper (XPV series), VaporShark (rDNA), Vapor Flask and a few others have confirmed that their next iteration shall be coming out with this board. I've written to MarkBugs and am waiting for their confirmation.

*Viz. 5-clicks On/Off, Wattage locking, Screen sleep etc.

Turbocad6, are you already working on a DNA 40 squonker?

any one of these could become a dna40 with a chip swap and I'm always building the next mod so when 40's are available I'm sure they will be my next go to chip. I just hope I like the wire required for the temp regulation. so far I've tried several different wires and the only wire I really like is kanthal... if the wire doesn't taste as good to me as kanthal then I probably won't even use the temp features... honestly though that's why I'm such a fan of regulated bottom feeders in the first place, I can tune my vape to where it is always perfect with no dry hits. I tune my builds as one squonk per hit and never have any dry hits at all

Turbocad6 those are amazing. Just one question. Have you named each one? :toast:

ha, not much for naming things so no, the only one shown here that I named is the fat 26650 one that I built from scratch, I call that one fatboy like the harley because it had no name to begin with, but the others are already named woodies and I haven't even thought to name any :)

also, I know no one even asked but I do have one favorite out of all my mods and the one that is my favorite might surprise many, hell it even surprises me because believe it or not my favorite one is only powered by a dna20 and it only takes a single coil but my favorite out of all of them is this one

I love the way it feels in my hand, the ebony and snake wood are just so silky smooth and because it's only a single coil and only 20 watts lasts me almost a whole day. the chalice really is a great vape. now in contrast my second favorite is the 60 watts sx350 chipped tall guy, with a nice 22mm dual coil atty that one just really chucks thick chewy tasty vapor by the huge cloudfull's but there I need a few batteries a day and many times I even empty the tank in that one before the day is over and it's a 9ml tank
