Can you provide an example of a battery in the same form-factor with a higher current capacity? I keep my eyes open pretty well and haven't seen one in that form factor. I've seen a couple advertised that way, but when I put 'em on the test harness they end up being far less than claimed.

V4L pays well to own technology advancements. Believe me they are interested in keeping on top of it, even if it doesn't make financial sense to build and stock it today.

I was not aware of the "Form Factor" requirement for V4L to carry them

Nhaler has a 440mah XL battery same size as regular XL, Magnum it's called, compatible with 808. Granted it's not that much more power compared to 380 but it's something
