Mine are still in NY, if usps is just like last week they wont show up anywhere else for another 2 days, I hope I am wrong, I ordered these on the 30th.

I ordered on the 30th also. Sometimes they don't scan registered mail as often as delivery confirmation. From what I saw on the scans, mine didn't go through Customs, and the mailman didn't knock on the door for a signature as required.

You should be getting them soon, and will be very happy with the quality. :) I wish I would have just went ahead and ordered two. ;) Oh well... It gives me an excuse to wait on the brass-alloy model to be available.. :D

Sorry about the complaining, I hate USPS, their hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm, mine are 7:30 to 4:30 pm it takes me 40 min, to get to and from work, and I can't ship them to work.

Thank you. This thing is really expensive. Good thing it's out of stock, my wallet got saved lol

I wish ProVape would come out with something like it, but would probably cost close to the same.. Oh well, I used to spend more a week on a carton of cigs anyway... :)

what is the difference between v1 and v2 and how can you tell the difference?

The V1 is not going to be made anymore.. The V1 didn't fit as well, and didn't really have an air-control which works like the V2.

V2 on left, V1 on right:

Hey Tech, how is the hippo v2 still working for you? This would work pretty well for my ody and peny atties, was wondering if you noticed the hippo v2 scratching the provari at all?

I checked the link you gave for vaperev, but it doesn't specify if it is v2.

It's actually working great! :) VERY good air-flow control, and no scratches on either of my ProVari.. Wow! These must have been popular. Atmistique had a boat-load they showed in a pic when they were ready.. I just got on their notify list because I want another.. ;) The quality is fantastic.

As far as VapeRev, since they are also out of stock.. The V1 is no longer in production, so, it's a safe bet they will be V2's. I would contact them to be sure just in case.

If you have the genuine Odysseus, it should be fine as there is no lip on the base around the 510 connector. My Terminator C has a lip, and it will not fit flush. (it works though) I think it's the same for the Penny... I've been using a Hercules, and lately have been just entirely shutting it's AFC off. The Hippo's works fine alone.

Thanks Tech. My v1 ody base has a small lip around the 510 and my two v2 odys don't have this, all three are gg. Completely not flush is ok by me. I mainly use the v1 for work.

Hmmmm, have to think on this. I figure this would be a good option for both the ody and peny and maybe save some money. I know a new peny is coming out with air flow control, but this would give me that and save some coin.

Thanks again.

I've looked at the hippo and it's definitely a solid looking air flow regulator. I ask this only because I really don't know so forgive my ignorance, but.....why this over a $2.99 air flow regulator? Is it purely aesthetics or is it function too? TIA

I would say both aesthetics, and function... I haven't had a $2.99 AFC to really compare though.. The Hippo is designed for the ProVari, as such, it's a speciality item in a class of it's own. The adjustable 510 connector pin is a handy feature. I'm certain it will work with any topper which may not have an adjustable pin of it's own. The AFC works very well. It gives me the true flat-top look that I like with my RTAs, and any other topper with a flush fit which looks "right".. It's just a high-quality piece of functional gear. :)

Just my opinion, and experience with the Hippo V2 of course... ;)

Honestly,I don't get why so many mods have the tapered head towards the top. It makes it look like an "adult" sex toy... hehe
