Heya CV - thank you kindly for the order my friend!~

Your Welcome Clark! Just remember to continue to make great flavors! Also, please remember the short run flavors should be repeated on a somewhat normal schedule if feedback is good. I mean the Raz Cake sounded awesome, but it was gone before I even had a chance to pick any up. This Butterscotch Pudding also sounds delicious, and I would absolutely HATE to never be able to get it again. I think a Maximum of six months in between releases of these short run flavors sounds good. WHO'S WITH ME!!!??? (chants: WE WANT MORE! - WE WANT MORE! - WE WANT MORE!) All kidding aside, just keep doing what you are doing, keeping the ship times short and flavors awesome!! Love your work Clark and will continue to order from you for years to come! ( Tell Katy I said HI!! )

I went to Chicago for the SFATA conference last week... it was a great trip. We stopped into a small family owned and operated pizza joint called Pizanos. The pizza was the best I've ever had. Do I wish I could have it every day? Absolutely! Do I know with certainty that I will have it again? Unfortunately not - the time and the place was right... the company was good... the server was extremely attentive... the guy in the back got his tax return the day before and threw on some extra cheese... and the Cubs beat the White Sox on Cinco de Mayo. Knowing that I may never get another slice of that pie, should I have hit McDonalds instead (since I know I can get it any time I want?) Not a chance.

With all due respect, I strongly disagree with your argument...I realize it's your store and you can do what you want but trying to compare eating pizza to being able to keep vaping your favorite flavors which helps keeps us off cigarettes isn't really a very fair comparison. Most of us (including myself) have very few limited choices when it comes to flavors...we have tried everything and still only vape a select few. When trying a new flavor and falling in love with it to only have to admit to ourselves that "get it while you can cause when it's gone it's not coming back" is a big bummer and huge frustration.

Why spend months on perfecting a flavor if you're only going to sell it for a limited time?

What is the reason for a flavor being limited? Is the flavor not going to be available from the flavor vendors after a certain date or what?

I'm just trying to understand why certain vendors do this, it's very frustrating to us vapors and obviously I'm not the only one who feels like this.

Just got mine. Excited to read it might be too sweet for an ADV. I crave super, super sweet in my rotation! It's surprisingly hard to find without an artificial taste, which I have never gotten with a NT juice. While I was visiting of course I loaded up on others like I always do, come on home to mamma juice babies! :D

@ConstantlyBuying There are always going to be newer and better flavors, though. That's the exciting part of it, the variety, surprises, innovation on their part, etc.

The price, and Short-Run factor, isn't as big a deal to me as the timing is. I had just bought Root Beer - along with Refresh, which I had been waiting to buy for quite some time and grew nervous over in the wait because I didn't want them to run out before I could snag a bottle - and as soon as that came through, bang, Butterscotch. It was like buying an iPhone 5 after waiting a few weeks and then seeing the 5s come out for a limited time only, two days later.

CB, With all due respect again, There is no reason to get your knickers in a knot.

Some things are what they are and one can choose to enjoy them while they can or not.

Better to have a limited run than no run at all.

The pizza chef could change or your favorite pizza joint could close down. Either way, things can quickly turn to crap.

At least with Clark's juice, you know it is all for the good, short run or not.

Relax, enjoy and happy vaping to you!.............:)

I submitted this question to Clark but I'm impatient in waiting for a response so I'll ask here. What is the point in ordering a "SR" flavor if it's not going to made anymore after it's first run? That's kinda like taking a kid into a candy store saying you can smell but you can't touch or eat it. I don't get why I would want to buy a flavor, end up liking it but know that I can never buy it again. Can someone chime in in here?

Thanks

I like the concept of Short Runs. To me, it makes my purchases feel a little more special. I look at it as joining a Wine Club, that, from time to time, offers wines that could be Seasonal, or special-pressed. You can choose to buy it or not. As far as a kid in a candy shop, most parents tell them, "You can pick ONE thing to get". The kid is usually happy to get that one thing--they don't dwell on the stuff they didn't get; they're happy with that one thing they got.

Also, you get a pretty good head's up as far as future releases go by checking the Short Runs thread, and reading a few posts here--that's part of why I like to read the Nicoticket forum so much....

I look at them as treats above and beyond the regular/core line of products. :D

And, what it really comes down to is storage/steep space for all the product. There's a lot more that the man would like to do . . .

You got it big daddy - more - check and check. ;)

Seriously though - we'll rotate through the really popular short-runs... we're pressing into some new ground at present. I feel like we have an opportunity to "show our stuff" and demonstrate we can do more than a great custard. We've done a ton of R&D that we may never get to use if this FDA thing gets out of control - we'd rather give you the opportunity to have the experience once than never at all. The short-runs are awesome, I hope we can continue to do them indefinitely. Maybe someday we'll have sufficient storage space that we can do all of them all the time!~

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I see your point, although I would certainly disagree with the fundamental premise that eLiquid is substantially different than, food, for example. In an industry like eCigarettes, where change is the norm not the exception, I've grown accustomed the ebb and flow. In the wake of the FDA regulations I think we should all be bracing for the inevitable truth that if the "save the children" zealots get their way, 99% of the flavors we currently enjoy will be unavailable for purchase. As opposed to purchasing this bottle, I would encourage everyone to take that $$ and donate it to CASAA. At least with that donation we can sleep knowing we took some substantial action to ensure we have flavors we can discuss!

I think in your situation I would advise you not to purchase short-runs. I have no doubt there are people who feel like you do, and I would advise them to do the same. In any case, short-runs are for people who can accept that it is a time-limited offering that may or may not come back. It's one of those quandaries that, in the face of limited storage space and ability to pre-steep liquid, we have to accept for what it is and proceed forward under the known limitations.

Actually we were just discussing helping the homeless and the hopeless quit smoking via vaping... funny you should mention that.

What I find so enchanting about it is that it keeps an otherwise "fixed" product line fluid - fresh with innovation and change. We're creative people at heart. We're not cookie cutter technicians. We're vapers, too... don't get me wrong - I love H1N1, CB, Betelgeuse, GCD - but sometimes I need a change-up. I think it's inevitable that I fall head-over-heels for this short-run or that... but hey - there's always the next one. Every individual vaper whom has gotten in the SR rotation may not love them all, but I wager they have enjoyed most of them... it's an honor for us to even consider that one of these short-runs to be "the liquid you can't live without."

One thing that Clark has mentioned is that Nicoticket just doesn't have the capacity to hold all the different flavors that they would like to stock. Rather than churning out the same old line up, as good as they are, I'm guessing they devote some of their resources to these short run flavors to mix things up for regulars and also to attract new customers who aren't as familiar with the rest of the flavors. For those who truly get frustrated with a flavor they may not be able to readily order, I would highly recommend against ordering the short runs. It just wouldn't be a good idea to bother with a flavor if someone's main objective is to find a flavor that they can vape all the time when they know in advance that it won't be around all the time. For those of us who like to try something new every now and then, this is a great way to keep us engaged in the Nicoticket community. And when we do find a short run that we really like, it provides a little excitement when it gets released again.

My suggestion for anyone would be to find a few flavors that you can always go to. Once you have a few of those, the short runs can be a fun experience!

Exactly - it's quite liberating knowing you can pick up a bottle and enjoy it for what it is... perhaps even savor it - knowing that you may never get another. There is no burden of "Is this the one?" because you go into it knowing it's NOT the panacea liquid you have been looking for... it is what it is... you pretty much have to go into short-runs with a different mind-set or expectations... not for everyone, certainly.
