Hiya, New with questions...

First off I'll, introduce myself, I'm a married mother of two and I'm a vaper. (It's been nearly a month and I'm still shocked that I'm no longer a smoker!) My husband is stationed here at Fort Sam Houston and after a co-worker spoke incessantly about his Ego-T we decided to give it a shot and within 3 days I had quit smoking. I was a 2 pack a day smoker who had no urge whatsoever to quit, I honestly thought it was a waste of money but the mister insisted (and since I'm not the one actually making the money, I figure he can waste a little every now and then if he wants). Fast forward almost 30 days and I'm amazed. My kids are amazed, my daughter now says I'm the best mom ever because I smell like perfume instead burnt paper. Life is good!

Now, to the question I alluded to. I know that this isn't necessarily the place for all my questions, but I figure since I'm here I'll just make good use of my 5 required posts.

I swapped to the clearomizer about 2 weeks ago from the tanks that came in my kit because I just hated the act of filling the tanks and I was filling them 3 times a day thereby having to get new ones because I ran through so many so quick with the whole taking them on and off all the time. I LOVE my super cute clearomizer but when I got a couple more the I realized that all clearo's are not created equally, that, or maybe the hint of blueberry I've been tossing in with my tobacco juice is killing them immediately. Pretty much I'll either fill a new one (about 75/25 tobacco/blueberry) and let it soak up the juice and twirl it around and dry hit a couple times, then press the pretty the button for the happiness, and instead feel like I'm sucking through a coffee straw. I can get just a tiny bit of a pull, but I gotta seriously work for it. OR, I'm vaping along just fine and dandy for a couple days with my little mixture, go refill, and then there is no more loose pull, I'm hit with the whole coffee straw scenario again. I don't want to go back to the tanks, but for the love of George Clooney I seriously can't deal with the hot and cold relationship I find myself in. The disappointment is overwhelming. (That may be slightly dramatic, or not, either way you get my point)

Any advice? Thanks in advance....

Welcome to the ECF and the world of vaping! I know others will have more advice for you, but just off of the top of my head, with the "coffee straw" pull, make sure your clearo isn't screwed down to tight onto the battery. Also, this may sound silly, but make sure you're not blocking the air holes with your fingers while you take a puff. You would be amazed on where your fingers end up while your vaping.

Hello WhiskeyWife

If you have a Stardust/ CE4 clearo, then this happens all the time, they are notorious for behaving badly. I don't think adding a few drops of Blueberry to your juice would harm it, if anything it would thin it down a bit. If it were too thin you'd have the opposite effect with the atty flooding.
I think hrlw817 aka Jazzhands is on the money, probably too tight and I'd agree with B Hick in getting a Vivi, you could also a try the E1 Reload from GotVapes http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-2-4ohm-ego-clearomizer-clear-sage-green.html
I have an original E1 it works great but because I rebuild wick/coil, it's not the easiest thing to do with these, the innards are cheap enough though - it vapes great.;) I much prefer it over CE4's. But I love my Vivi Nova MORE!:D

Thanks Milesh, I was thinking it has to do with the Blueberry because I was vaping just the tobacco flavor and never had the problem until I started tossing in the blueberry.

hrlw817, at one point I thought vaping was silly, so I most definitely would not judge your suggestion, my fingers aren't covering there though. I wish it were such an easy fix. Also, I've tried unscrewing it little by little to see if it makes a difference and as soon as it's virtually all the way off, or if it is unattached, the pull is free and clear. it's so damned confusing.

B Hick, I recently got something similar to that for my husband, but instead of the long wicks, it just has holes in the metal surrounding the interior. The only thing about those is that they seem so bulky. If this keeps happening I will probably give those a shot, I was honestly hoping that I was just jacking something up.Thanks. :vapor:

Meli thanks for the link, I admit I had to google the Vivi Nova. The clearo's I have are the CE4, in clear. The E1 Reloads look more like my thing more so than the Vivi, for now. I like the streamline look and it fits in my pocket and wallet perfectly. I'm sure it won't take long though before I just get over the "this is cute" and move on to the "damn the cuteness, I want it to work" phase.

Sounds like you got yourself a Vision Clearomizer aka the Stardust. It's like sucking on a McDonald's milkshake without a king sized straw. Try the E1-V from DiscountVapers. It's kicks the Vivi Nova Mini's .... in looks and performance (which undoubtedly you'll get 1000 recommendations to get instead). It's the same price, ($6 for the clearomizer - replacement cylinders are further down on the same page for $2.29) but you don't need a stupid thread sleeve/collar to make it look good (like you do with a vivi nova mini) as it is designed to cover your cone threads out of the box. It also holds more juice than a Stardust (.4ml more to be exact). Save the money, look better, and get better flavor. E1-V all the way.

Since it's a little hard to find on their site I will link it here. I'd recommend the "E1-V Clearomizer (LR)" since you are using a low voltage 3.6v device. It will give you the best flavor/heat/vapor. Here's the link:

E1 / E2 / E3 (Apollo and Revive)

If anyone reading this has a variable voltage like an EGO Twist or an APV get both the SR and the LR since you can hang at the low voltage zone with the LR and go up to the high voltage where SR is best.

E1-V, not Reload. Trust me it's better. If you want to see one of my buddies reviewing it against the vivi nova mini then here you go:

If you want to skip to the final result of the mini tank showdown it's just after 17 minutes in. Yes, I wrote the theme song for his channel. It's what I do.

Welcome WhiskeyWife, I would give the Smoktech Resurrectors a try. I had been using Boge cartomizers but with all the problems with those I decided to try the resurrectors and they are awesome!

I have not personally experienced this "boge problem". I would reassess who your vendor is if you are. China and basically the entire East is known for selling knockoffs to each other. The craziest story I'd ever heard was a buddy of mine who bought FAKE BLANK CDS! Yes, they went through all the trouble to get a bunch of shiny plastic discs and put them in a perfect copy of a plastic spindle, with a perfect copy of the brand name molded plastic wrap, just so they could save a few cents and rip somebody off on a $8 product. Knowing that is the lengths they will go to over there, it's very important that the vendor you are using can spot a fake supplier.

Here's what I know about Smoktech Resurrectors. They don't actually resurrect. They die like dogs. They are a superior vape to the Boge for a short time and then they are gone. If you are a frugal carto cleaner, and you can get your hands on real Boges then they will last you 6+ months with no end it sight, like mine have. I cleaned them at least once a week: boiling for 15 minutes, thoroughly flushing them out with hot water through a flavor injector syringe, and baking them in the oven at 250 fahrenheit for 15 minutes. They vape like brand new when you're done and you can re-use them right away. It's a real PITA, but hey, a penny saved is a penny earned. At least they know how to do that in the East :)
