I found this article in my surfing, I thought to pass it on.

Ron Ward, the lawyer with the Parkville vape shop, tries to be tolerant about cloud chasers. “I’m libertarian by nature,” he explains, so, “I have no problem with it at all.” But he clearly does, based on what he says next: “If you do blow industrial size clouds of vapor in public, it’s going to ruin it for the rest of us. It’s going to be what they point to when they say these things should be banned indoors, because people are being disrespectful. It honestly creates such a...n immense amount of vapor that it could be offensive to a lot of people. It’s offensive to me, and I’m a vaper.”
Cloud chasing “started in the Phillipines,” Ward continues, “I’d say it’s been a year and a half, and it’s become very, very popular. Culturally, it seems to be mostly young people and hobbyists, people in their 20s who like to rebuild things and want to build something that makes the most vapor.” Or people like 48-year-old Hoff, who says he wore a blue Mohawk for part of his six years on the police force, and the last thing most people would think when looking at him is “ex-cop.” But Willard, who looks every bit the ex-cop, echoes Ward’s concerns. While cloud chasers “do it everywhere” because “it’s fun and they enjoy it,” Willard says, “sometimes people aren’t responsible. If they really thought about the future of vaping, they wouldn’t sit in a Chuck-E-Cheese and sub-ohm and blow a cloud, because the perception of that cloud, after years of indoctrination of what smoke is, people don’t understand it. And then they get fearful for their kids.”

I do like the idea of having clouds, but, I guess I will keep an eye on it.

Im part to agree that gigantic clouds, even though we know they aren't immediately dangerous, still freak, scare, bother people who don't know, or don't want to sit in your cloud. They aren't at a rave, they are out getting dinner. I have no issue with sub ohm, and I love blowin some huge clouds, but out of courtesy I keep them away from other people if at all possible, and when at bars/restaurants vaping I just use my carto tank setup which blows a more normal cloud

There isn't a thing wrong with cloud chasing as long as people understand what they're doing and know the limitation of their batteries.

Far be it from me to criticize somebody for producing more of a relatively harmless substance than I do per draw, for that matter.

That having been said, people are going to freak out. It's wise to know that, have an explanation prepared, and use both good manners and common sense on where you do it.

With the media having so much influence, I don't think people are like us vapers.

I will only blow large clouds at home, or a friends house. Even though it's harmless, it's disrespectful to just blow huge clouds of vapor at the general public, in my opinion.

Yes, I still have a .7 build on my Kayfun when out and about, but I only produce a normal cloud when in public.

At my house, I can fill my living room quite easily sub-ohming on my dripper. I would easily be able to fog up the dining area of a resturant. I don't, however, out of respect for other people.

I don't see anything I disagree with.

Actions have reactions. If you're cloud chasing in public odds are someone is going to react unfavorably to it, and that hurts ALL people who use ecigs. The person puffing on a cigalike in a mall isn't going to attract nearly as much attention or disdain as someone playing "Puff the Magic Dragon" with their RDA in the same place.

Think of it as doing donuts in your car. Sure, they can be fun and some people just love to do it, but you shouldn't do it in the middle of a busy intersection at rush hour and you shouldn't cloud chase in public places where you can offend non-smokers/non-vapers.

Good Lord, why do we insist on imposing ourselves upon those who don't appreciate any kind of cloud - smoke, vapor, white or red - blown in their face or near it? I'm a vaper and I don't appreciate it.

We seem to hide behind the vaping mantra as if it were God-given. Does that perceived Devine Intellect make us callous and insensitive to others? Does vaping turn us into rude people with no regard or self-respect? Why can't we just keep our vaping limited to our homes and cars or suitable outdoor locations? If we did, we probably wouldn't be the victim of the ongoing governmental harassment and intrusions.

Do we feel so persecuted that we have thrown civility out the window? "No Smoking" means "No Vaping" in my opinion. I observe it out of respect for others.

If you like your big clouds, enjoy them by all means ... just don't impose them upon me.

i do what satisfies my habit wherever i perform my habitual rituals. i sub ohm in public.

though, i do pay attention to which direction the wind is blowing and who's down stream. i also don't vape in most venues. i'll leave that to people who are capable of getting satisfaction out of stealth vaping and those that are content with being asked to vacate the premises.

i think it's a fair compromise that doesn't necessarily threaten any ones liberties by threat perception of the uninitiated folks.

meaning, i don't think i'm personally swaying anyone to cast a vote against us in the event there's actually a vote allowed at the time our liberties are to be stripped.

With the media having so much influence, I don't think people are like us vapers.

in a way, i think most people are more like us vapers than we often stop to consider. i believe that most people have liberties they enjoy stripped because on that one liberty, they are the minority and either give in or are up against a losing battle. if we all just realize we're giving liberties up left and right because we don't fight for the ones that don't concern us and are likely to vote against the ones we perceive as a threat. we are the majority... just not on that one liberty that's important to us.

I like this idea... If cloud chasers could find some way to color the cloud without a direct light source, then maybe there would be less complaint. Imagine a world where people exhale rainbows!

ooooooooooowww and how a about a luminous cloud! one that glows in the dark! Green!

It's just a matter of respect for others rights. The rest of the world has as much of a right to vape free air as you have a right to vape. If you're at home or the vape shop, cloud chase until you're blue in the face. More power to you. If you're in a restaurant, bar, wherever it's a mixed crowd keep it stealth and don't give them ammo. It's possible to get a good vape in and nobody knows. Yes, it smells better than cigs and second hand vape is harmless but why be in everyone's face about it. That just gives ammo to the anti's.
