Hi all, I have a question. I have been vaping since July 2010th, generally vape at high watts and a mix of pg-vga 50:50, or perhaps more pg. I started at 36 and am down around 15.

I've noticed my voice becoming rougher in the last 2 months. At first I thought it was some kind of cold. It has progressed, and I have to continually clear my throat. My wife has said something a few times, and I am beginning to think that vaping may have something to do with this-given the constant laryngeal irritation of the vape. Of course I don't know for sure. I have no other issues or illnesses that are relevant.

Anybody experience this? I'd appreciate your input. I have not went to see a doc because, for one, I am a doc and know nobody knows anything here-and they'll probably tell me to stop vaping and see if it clears. Of course I don't want to do that.

What do you all think. Thanks. ddd

I have sensitivities to pg. No allergies, just makes my throat too scratchy. At the same time, VG is a little to heavy for me and I can get wheezy. For me, I have to stay in the 70/30 pg/vg range. Just enough vg to keep the TH down but not enough vg to get me wheezy. It varies from juice to juice but I'm most comfortable between 70 to 80 pg.

My thoughts on you is that your throat is more healed after a year or two off the analogs and upping the pg is making it a little sensitive. Probably wasn't noticeable when you were first healing from years of smoking.

I have exactly the same issue. I noticed my voice getting more raspy and I always feel like I have to clear my throat. I started with PG but I have an allergic reaction to straight PG, feel like my throat is closing, tightness in my chest. However, straight VG gives me the phlegmy feeling in my throat and I"m constantly clearing it. So I stick to 50/50 or 40/60 pg/vg blends and deal with the lessened side effects.

I too have had this difficulty. I've gotten past the dry skin, etc. by cutting out most caffeinated coffee which I used to sip all day long. But the throat is another problem. I believe my hoarseness is caused by thick phlegm that may be from sinus drainage. Sometimes a few swallows of water help. I hope to find a good solution as I never know how I'm going to sound when I speak.

I get a bit of this as well. I excuse it and am grateful for it in lieu of the side effects of inhaling burning vegetable matter.

Something else I notice is a bit of tooth pain mainly with the sweet or melon flavors. The pain is not intense enough to come close to making me reduce or quit vaping. I noticed that it affects a stainless steel crown more than the other teeth.
Has anybody else noticed this tooth pain?
