Okay, so I'm back from Cozumel and adjusting to the 85 degree drop in temp. Christ on a crutch! It's freaking cold! Well, I have to say, a wonderful time was had by all! Got some amazing dives in. Saw hawksbill turtles, eels, sharks, lobster, dolphin & an amazing variety of fish and coral. Got some awesome underwater photos! (if anyone wants to see pix, send me a message and I’ll post some) The weather was good and we only got rain on our last night there. I found the best hot sauce ever at a restaurant on the SE side of the island at a place called Punta Moreno. I think I’m still paying for that one. They didn’t sell the stuff, but gave me a water bottle full and I brought it home. Will be enjoying that in small doses! Saw numerous lizards out and about. They’re like squirrels there! Well, maybe not so cute and furry, but still. I don’t know if you read about the woman who died mysteriously on a Carnival cruise, but I was out by the ocean on my 1st morning there and met a guy who standing there as well. I asked him how he was doing and he said his girlfriend had died on the ship out there, pointing to a big cruise ship off shore. Well, what the @#!# do you say to that!? He said they had just released him from custody after 3 days of questioning. I walked away mumbling my inadequate sympathies. Holy crap, was that ever a downer! But I didn’t let it affect our trip. Just too weird! All in all it was an excellent trip. Did a lot of relaxing and managed to forget about everything for a week. I learned a few more words in Spanish but am glad I’m back where I can understand people when they’re making fun of me! Haha! Back to the daily grind on Monday. I work for myself so I can’t even tell the boss I didn’t miss him at all. Looking at a possible diving trek to the Philippines in April with an old college buddy. Supposed to be amazing diving. Still up in the air on that one. We’ll see how Uncle Sam treats me at tax time.

I was a stellar ambassador for V4L while there. Gave out all the cards I had and gave numerous demonstrations to curious travelers and locals. Got a lot of positive responses. I vaped everywhere! I stealth vaped on the flights and no one ever knew. I vaped in the pool, on the beach, on boats, in stores, at restaurants and bars (it's still legal to smoke in in bars & restaurants there) and everywhere else I could. Hopefully the folks at V4L will get some new customers out of the deal. Do I get a commission on that?!

Nelson is back from his stay at the kennel and doing well. Knowing he’s by far the most handsome of all the dogs there, he seems a little full of himself. The cats will bring him down a peg or two if need be. They do not put up with a pompous Nelson for long! I found that one of the cats, in my absence, decided it was their duty to unspool the toilet paper and drag it around the house, shredding as they went. Neither are confessing, which is to be expected. Usually they will lay all blame on Nelson, but his alibi is airtight. I suspect there were many more shenanigans afoot while I was away, but the evidence has been destroyed.

I'm ready for a big carto refill session. Boy, am I glad I got that big Valentine's Day order before I left. Still haven't tried the Mountain Do or white chocolate strawberry. Looking forward to that. Gonna boil about 30 cartos today and fill them tomorrow. I’ve been using the new PT and am really diggin’ the huge vapor clouds! Wow! The new premium cartos are awesome as well. Gonna have to order more of them soon.

Well, it is good to be home and I hope you all had a good week. Uno cervesa por favor!

Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! Too bizarre about running into the poor guy whose GF died, indeed. We still have a couple days left here in Puerto Vallarta. I wish the snorkeling was better here - I was spoiled over in Hawaii. Welcome home, and please work on melting a little more of the snow before we get back - I'm hoping to bring the Vette home in a couple of weeks ;-)

I have given out quite a few V4L cards here, too. I was explaining to one of the locals this morning that they are not legal for importation here - he said that would be the perfect business - LOL!

That is just creepy about the Carnival Cruise *shudders* I have cruised 4 times with Carnival and love that cruise line best. The first cruise I went on, some guy got drunk and locked out of his cabin so he went to a friends cabin a few doors down, went out on their balcony, and climbed over to his cabin by balancing on the railings. (Just below our balcony, so we saw the whole thing) No mishaps, but people do dumb things when they are drunk. If he had fallen in, and we hadn't happened to be having a drink on our balcony at midnight, it would have been one of those "mysterious cruise deaths" no doubt.

My son (18) is going to Aruba on Spring Break with my brother and the cousins - all are certified divers so should get some great dives in! Glad you had fun, I am jealous! :)

Welcome back JD. If you ever want to find a great dive spot here in th US you have to dive some of the wrecks off the NC coast. Here is a link to the dive shop where I go. These guys really are great! Hey I'm wondering next time I dive if I will get better bottom time and use less nitrox then when I was a smoker. I need a V4L sticker to put on my tank :)
