Actually, if you want "news", catch some of the Money shows, Business channels.
They actually do analyze how all things political are going to impact you, your business, and your generations to follow.
It's a little more in depth, they give you the facts, you make your own connections, form you own opinions, and you aren't subject to whoever is wearing the hat of the day.
People will watch the programming that already matches their sensibilities. To cast a critical hyperbola probably means you don't watch it, so not very fair criticism. I used to love Chris Matthews in the Clinton years, thought he was the most intelligent analyst around, but the last few years he talks like a crazy person. The look in his eyes is almost spooky, thrill up his leg and all. If it wasn't for varying views from more than one source we would probably all just love the new Health Care Legislation. Nah. I get nervous when my share of the National Debt jumps from $53000 to $70000, and I didn't buy a darned thing, and still need to get some bird seed and a can of 100% Columbian dark roast at $10.80. It scares me.
So yes, an occasional nice piece about e-cigs would be great, but in view of current authority being righteously against anything remotely smokey, we'd be hard pressed to find favorable reports no matter what the source. We're the last bastion of those evil addicted smokers, I'm afraid.

Kate, thank you. Your comments are rational, and maybe will put this conversation back on the (e-cig) track.

And ironically it's hardly been mentioned on this thread that this actually was a much more positive piece re e-cigs/plight of users than most, and with no propagandizing. (OP started off with "THEY want to ban" it, and there was misinterpretation of who "they" are out of the gate.)

Here's the link to the story again (both video and shorter text version) that someone posted before...

I hope so too, that would serve every one of us the very best. :)

Oh, shoot, I missed the video, just read the print before. I was fine with it until that Doctor put his two cents worth in. How dumb, honestly. Those components in there might be bad, FDA, BS. Doubtful he knew anything about an e-cig, but still has an opinion. About the FDA.
Glad to see he had his scrubs on, that proved a lot. Except now he's going back to work with air pollution all over his clothes, that might be bad.
The Clerk at the store had it all together! Nice looking guy as well.
But you're right, all things considered, the article was not all that bad for e-cigs. They did sound a little critical of the legislation in the opening. I always like that!

Yeah, and wasn't very in-depth or anything, but aside from that vague useless doc part, it didn't seem to have the "Ooh ooh scary e-cigs" 'tude that so many of these stories do... and didn't even trot out any 'helpful' background about findings of carcinogens, components of anti-freeze, or flavors attractive to children, whoo hoo! :) Unfortunately, that in itself almost passes for positive these days! :-/
