Just bought a igo w to try and practice dripping for the first time. I've been building single micro coils on my Russian 91% for a couple of months now, so I knew it wouldn't be hard to switch.

I've gotta say, it's so much easier to build on the dripper. It's so open and easy to pack in the cotton. I've just been vaping around 8 watts or so on the Russian because I didn't want to burn the cotton and have to take the whole thing apart. Now because it's so easy to build in the igo, I cranked up the, ehem, ProVari, to 11 watts and all I gotta say is WOW. Nice thick warm vapor.

I can understand the higher watts now. I had 18mg nic in the Russian, so I dropped the nic for the dripper to 6 and caught just a little itty bitty nic buzz. Of course, I was chain vaping a bit, lol. I'm proud to say I'm gonna be a happy little dripper.

Igo W was my first dripper as well. Bit of advice, drill one of the holes out. Drilled mine to 5/64, and with the added airflow, flavor and vapor increased dramatically.

It's an amazing little dripper, I'll give it that. Still one of my favorite ones.
Drilling it out is a really good idea. It does seem a bit tight of a draw. I'll have to try that after work.

if you're doing dual coils, drill both holes out and get a mech or a high wattage variable device.

if you're doing single coils, get an igo-l (clone or youde, doesn't matter) and use the top cap from that... then drill the single hole out.

or... you could grab an igo-s for single coils... and drill the hole out on that.

1/16" or 5/64" should be plenty of airflow for 15 watts and under.

the post holes on the igo-w make mounting a coil easy as pie. but dual holes just aren't ideal for a single coil. hence why i'm suggesting at least a different top cap. and you can get the whole RDA for the same price or less than a replacement top cap.

That's a good point. I had a cheap bagua mech clone I threw away during a move. I can always find another. I have a 5/64 drill bit with me,(I build my coils at work) but I don't have a drill here. I think the igo w cap could still work if I drilled one hole for the single coil. The other hole is so small it may not even have airflow after the other ones been drilled out.

This is a fantastic point.

That being said, with one hole drilled to 5/64, I have noticed absolutely no difference with the second hole open or taped shut. Just put thr drilled hole in front of the coil and you'll be good to go.

lol i wasnt paying attention one day and ended up dripping 24mg juice into my rda. yeah, needless to say everything from my tongue to my lungs hated me for about 5 minutes

Lmao, I JUST basically did the same thing. Took the dripper off for the Russian without changing the voltage down. Oww. It has 18mg in it. Went from light TH to a throat drop kick. A VW device is sounding pretty good right now.......lol.

I bought a cheap-... Smok UDA. I think it cost $5. It has 5 movable air holes in the top piece. Quite clever. Why don't they all do this?

Added: I was already reprimanded by a mod for using the "A" word here <gasp>. Was told it wasn't family friendly. And here I thought vaping was for the 18+ crowd. Silly me. So in case my "A" word above is censored I simply mean cheap "donkey".

it's not for everyone. that's for sure. it was a PITA being at vapefest yesterday and not being able to get any juice. most there was in house was 24mg and even that was few and far between. a couple people told me i needed better equipment until i showed them the reo grand that never leaves my sight.

after that only one person still stuck with the idea i needed better delivery. unfortunately, by the time i got to her table, one of my post screws was loose and i wasn't getting the performance i was used to. she must have thought, that was how i vaped normally.

unfortunately, she was the only one that said she won't make my nic level even if i specially requested it. i really wish she would. johnson creek has something really special with their numbered flavors. they're all winners. no. 22, 47 and 84 were all very delightful. the wife picked up some pomegranate that she really enjoyed as well.

I had kinda the same issue with my local B&M. All the "Fancy" juices only came in 6 or 12. I was just converting to vaping and needed 24 mg. It was a bit frustrating to taste a great flavor only to find out I'd have to turn into a steam engine to get my fix. I was stuck vaping a generic ry4 for months (only thing that tasted good). They did listen to me though, now they have everything up to 24 mg and now I'm basically down to 12. Oops.

I just started dripping yesterday. From tons of stuff I read on the forum I thought for sure I was going to have to drop down from my always 36mg. But that's all Ive been dripping for twenty four hours and not slowing down. Feeling good! Got a bit light headed last night but that's only cause I was puffin like a locomotive playing with the voltage. Am I missing something here? Made me wonder if I was doing something wrong. Don't think so now though.
I just love my nicotine!!!:vapor:
