Hello all

I wanted to get a little more vapor performance from my DSE901 / RN4075 from the VaporGuys. So after doing a lot of research in the modders forum, I decided to try the design using the Radio Shack 4 "AA" battery pack.

I pretty much just followed the pictures in a thread made by youfillintheblank. I can't post any links yet, but the name of the thread is M401 Modification. That should help you find it.

It wasn't that difficult of a project. I was able to pick up the parts at the local radio shack. Here's a list of the items.

1 Enclosed 4 "AA" Battery Holder
1 Mini SPST 0.5-Amp N.O. (Normally Open) Momentary Switch (4 Pack)
1 Battery Connector
1 Soldering Iron & Solder
Epoxy
Tons of patience.

I do not have much electronics/soldering experience, but decided to just go for it. It was a great learning experience, tons of fun and now I have a cool mod that produces tons of Vapor.

I plan on making another one with an LED and then I'll try to tackle a Magnum once I get the courage.

Thanks to everyone for posting their pics and discussions so that a newbie like me could try one of these things. I've taken some pics in the hopes that maybe they will help someone out some day.

I hope it helps, thanks.

The consistent hits and the not having to recharge every couple of hours is a huge plus. Although I've only been vaping a few days, this has made it a much more pleasurable experience.

I find that the draw is a hell of a lot easier too. I'm pretty stoked :D.

You sound just like me. I made the same mod with the same... um.. lack of solder experience. ;) I love the consistent hits and I especially love not having to change my battery every 3 hours. :p

And I am also working up the courage to try a Magnum... maybe in a few months. 8-o lol

Stop! Modding is an addiction just like everything else here! I'm just finishing up my magnum mod after completing a few juicebox mods (similar to yours) both in usb and battery form as well as a random Hi-Liter mod. I'll probably keep making the box mods since they're so easy and satisfying but start working on more flashlights since they're more challenging. I probably should go back and re-solder all my old mods since my technique is getting better each day although it's still pretty rough. :D
