Hey everybody, just yesterday I drilled my 26650 (28.5mm) Tobh Atty's drip hole, to a massive 15.5mm, or about the size of a dime. This got me wondering whether others are having as good an experience as I am with widening their drip tip. So I thought we could start a small discussion on what you think, and maybe show off your wide tips.

I've personally had a very noticeable boost in vapor, and flavor, not to mention ease of dripping (I can put my dropper through the drip tip and touch the deck! :p). It's hard to tell whether vapor has actually improved I'll admit, it was big before, and it's big now lol. I DO know however, that the flavor is much more "direct" tasting, it's not spitting on my tongue I assure you, but whether it's because it holds my lips wider, or simply spreads out more in my mouth I don't know (btw I expected this nearly 3/4" thing to be borderline wierd, as it'd nearly be like vaping a hot-dog, but it's actually really nice. It's much easier to make a seal since I'm not pursing my lips, and feels more like taking a sip from a tiny beer bottle hehe.). My thumb looks like a broken alien finger in this picture, IDK why lol.

With this pyrex drip tip (that I'd glass-blown myself) I have virtually NO CONDENSATION, which is the biggest benefit to me. Even with a 1/2" drip tip (with standard 510 drip opening), I'd have a little drop develop every now and then, and once I cleaned it out, the flavor would improve/strengthen. With this bad boy, since the drip-hole is slightly smaller than the actual drip tip (which is silicon-ed on the top cap), the only minuscule condensation I get is from the odd hard inhale and a little coil spurt, sometimes my breath will leave a moisture just like a window, but that goes away immediately. I'm really diggin it, the only part I don't like, is it's essentially fixed to the top cap, it will come off without leaving any silicone, however I'll have to re-fix it on.

I've also noticed that my atty stays alot cooler when I have a sub-ohm/hot build in it (which is basically all the time), having this big'ol chimney really helps with atty & thus mod temperature as well. At first I was worried I wouldn't like it, but now it's the most comfortable drip tip I own, I blew the glass nice and thick, nearly perfectly round, with a slightly fatter lip around the top to get a good lip seal. I had made a muffler style one as well, but with how wide it was, it was a little harder to get a good seal, with this, again, it's just like taking a sip from a glass bottle. It's also nice to be able to nearly see your coils, or juice level without taking the cap off too, I've been going through juice too fast with this hole in the atty! Here's some pics:

You can see the fatter lip I made on it in this pic.

Here it is eating another 1/2" "normal wide bore" drip tip.

It's impossible to miss dripping in this thing.

I'm somewhere behind there.

I'm interested in what others think of wider/thinner drip tips, I've had some thinner ones work better with RBA's like my Squape, or my Aspire Nautilus (which is now commandeered by my girlfriend lol, I don't need it).

Show me your widest you have! Or your favorite, and share why too. What do you think?

DAYUM thats a tru WIDE BORE! and I thought the 13mm tip I had was huge but ur tip looks like it would swallow mine wHOLE. this is one that I like using for super low ohm builds(alright mybe they aren't that low compared to what other ppl here build but...)

the little bit of xtra air in the tip really helps to cool the vape

That's awesome! Looks like a freakin' cannon haha! It even has the fuse hole and everything :p, I really dig the small airhole on the tip itself, that's a cloud competition ready tip for sure! Do you like a cooler vape too?

I almost always like cooler vapes because that's usually what ends up being max density/vapor, but since I've got some Gplat, I've really been heating up (even the big tobh) the chambers lately, and it's kind of growing on me. The thing I like about yours is that drip tip hole probably helps "whip up" the vapor, and I bet you can inhale as hard as you can with no fear lol.

By the way, is the drip tip fixed to that cap? What atty are you using? I love how simple that cap looks.

That's pretty wild. I usually dont go under .5 so IME the super wide bores will boost clouds but drop flavor considerably

I haven't vape a .5ohm in a while, I bet your right. On this .1, dual gplat 1/16th" coil setup, it definitely makes the flavor better, but I think that's only because like I said it spreads the vapor over alot more of your mouth as you inhale. I just switched top caps and put my .5" drip tip on, and there's definitely a small reduction of flavor, but I can't tell if it's something to do with airflow, or just the way the vapor leaves it.

Like for instance, when I changed from a straight tip to a muffler tip, it definitely tasted better because it sort of aims the vapor wherever it's pointed, but it was the same size. I wonder what the correlation between ohms (or watts) and drip tip bore is, that'd be interesting to test out one day. I'm guessing maybe with your .5ohm coil, it's probably better to keep the vapor more condensed in a smaller tube, instead of let it just float through the dtip.

I get the same effect when I vape on my girls nautilus, I changed her drip tip to a wide one, and it really lacked, noticeably.

The tip is actually a gutted carto. Just throw an o-ring on the bottom and it work perfectly as a dt, and you can put a dt on top too. the rda is an igo-w. I like warm and cool vapes, but i hate hot ones :-x my buddy bought a dt from ninja mods for like $30, it has an adjustable afc ring on the tip. this was my version of it since I didn't want to spend 30 on a dt
