I took my syringe tank and drilled a hole up top on the side of the tank, a hole just big enough to squeeze a carto plug in, dam thing works perfectly and now its a simple fill using a syringe, I'm using my original Maptank delrin caps which fit snug as a bug on the syringe tank so no need to even pull them off any longer unless I'm changing the carto out. wrap a clear piece of scotch tape around the top cap and bottom cap for even better air suction and it not only pulls a bit more liquid into the carto now but also holds the plug in place. It's not the prettiest tank but functionality it works like a dream with a DC Carto and is dam easy to fill now with the hole and plug.

I'm definitely going to put fill holes in my tanks. Right now I'm getting ready to go out of town for over a week, so it won't be until I get back home.
Have a good safe trip. I don't know why but after refilling the tank some times it works great right off the bat, and when it doesn't and I finally get it to work it stays working great until the next fill. So on the whole it works great, I'm still learning and having fun with the tank, and think this is the best device so far, don't have to wonder if I should top off the carto. I would recommend practicing on what is left of the syringe you cut off, or just using one syringe over and over to practice drilling the hole for the 3ml syringe plunger hole.

I also really enjoy the tanks. Overall, a total win. I also have a SweetVape on the way because I have been wanting to try bottom feeding with a carto as well. I don't want to miss anything in my search for the perfect vape.

Yep, filling exactly like in the video, never covering the airhole in the carto. It's not a filling problem. It'll just start gurgling a little bit during vaping. The batt connection might get moist, but not truly flooded.

Could the holes in your carto be just a little too big allowing just a tad too much juice in? I would think that one size hole wouldn't work right for all juices.

I find that I get gurgling sometimes also. I think it might be either condensation getting in or just the liquid building up near the mouth piece. after I refill my tank, I always remove my tip and dry the top of the carto with paper towel. Congrats wyojoe on the 1000 posts.
Thanks ricks, I do that with the paper towel, you do mean soak up some of the juice from the top of the filler material, that's what I do, and it does seem to help.

You may be right. I have a little more problem with the one I slit instead of a hole, The hole seems to work better than the slit so maybe I made the slit to long and therefor the surface area is bigger than the one I put the hole in. Will need to pay attention to mine and try different hole sizes. That indeed may be the answer. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks...I think I'll try it. I've got to find some 20ml syringes first though....and buy a dremmel. Is the extra large catomizers a necessity? I just have the regulars...
No but with the regulars you will need to shorten the length of the tube compared to the length for the longer cartomizers. Look at the first post and video and maybe buy a pipe cutter but a dremmel will do a whole lot of other things.

That's the great thing about the syringe tank mod. You can get whatever size syringes you want and cut them to whatever length you want. I would say you might want to try a pipe cutter before a dremmel though. Just make sure you put a socket just slightly smaller than the syringe inside it before you use the pipe cutter so you don't crack the syringe tube. if you crank down the pipe cutter on the syringe with the socket underneath it, it won't crack. it makes a MUCH prettier cut than you can probably hope to get with a dremmel.

Sharon, go here for the 20ml syringes :) For 12 of them, I ended up paying 11.55 :) That includes shipping :)

Does anyone have a pictorial about this? I cannot hear the you tube thing...too many years playing music too loudly.
