Hey Iffy, I know you're a fan of the eMDCC, as am I. How do you find this syringe mod compares to the EMDCC? Better? Worse? Similar? Apples and Oranges in a way, but I'm just curious...
how long are these xl dual coil cartomizers?
Great thread - great idea - great info; did the mod, no leaking from the tank or carto - but the carto floods. Have tried slits, punching, and drilling; one slit two slits, one hole two holes; currently at one hole 1/16" in diameter (can barely see the polyfill @ 10x magnification). No matter what I do the carto floods. Have tried with six cartos all Boge.
Can anyone please provide some info on what I am doing wrong????
Thus far I'm very pleased with the syringe mod. With well over two days vaping per load (in rotation, of course) and over a week into it, with no discernible vapor/taste/draw degradation thus far, I like a lot! Yes, apples vs. oranges, but the mod, for me, is a very viable option.
Only with at least a month under the belt, can I really compare the longevity of the smaller cartos in da tank. Time will tell...
I can't reply to this thread

Anyways, some people are experiencing a rubber taste when they make these. It could be from the syringe's they use or something else. I wanted to reply because I thought it might be because of the cart heating up the rubber caps. If you're heating up the rubber caps then it is quite possible that this is causing rubber taste when you vape. I am not sure how carts are made or where the heating element (coil) is located. If the heating element is located more in the center of the cart you probably won't experience this issue. If the heating element is more towards the one end or the other of the cartomizer, it is a good chance you will heat up the rubber. Also chain vapeing might effect it also.
It may be that dual coil carts have the heating elements spread more towards the ends of the cartomizer instead of more in the center (like on regular carts) so there is a higher chance of getting that "rubber" taste since the coils are hotter and closer to the rubber ends.
