Has anyone tried the Resurrectors with this?
Sorry for not posting sooner. Yes I use the Ressurectors with my syringe tanks and they work very well. I poke a hole with a deck screw and hammer (could use a nail) or Ice pick. The size of the hole is between 1/16 and 3/32 inch's Diameter, (only one hole). I punch the hole 1/2" up from the bottom of the carto. (not from the bottom of the tread) This is for my 20ml syringe mod.

Has anyone had luck w/using ce2's instead of carto's?? Would really like to try those instead, just not sure how to go about it. I did watch a vid on it in this thread, but I was confused as to why you need to keep the tube from the ce2 on. All tanks I've seen take the tube off of the ce2 when put in a tank. Any thoughts?

I bet you could use the wire cutter trick on those cartos too instead of having to punch them like that....
I don't have the right wire cutter and have 3 of them already and hate to buy a new one. I have used a dremel and put slots in them and tried a hand drill too. The drill took so much downward pressure to drill thru the steel that when the drill poped thru the drill bit caught the fibers inside and wadded it up inside and moved the stuff inside around so after that I did not have a straight air hole thru the carto anymore, and it didn't work well from then on. The punching is much easier for me to control , and works every time. I make only one hole 1/2 inch from the bottom of the carto and the hole is about 1/16" to 3/32" Diameter.

I believe some leave the tube on or replace with a 3cc syringe tube for stability. I'm not a big fan of cartos since they only last me 1-2 days with my juice so I am using CE2s in mine. I cut the ss tube just like I would for my other tanks and it works great. Haven't had any leaks whatsoever and seems quite stable. I'm making one now to accomodate my xl clearos as well. For the xl CE2s I cut the syringe tube at 1 3/4".

I think the ones you seen do have part of the CE2 steel tube remaining at the bottom of the steel tube. If using a clear one it and took the clear tube off it would not seal properly and would leak. With the tube on, it seals top and bottom just like a regular cartomizer does. I do have a clear CE2 with One hole in it ready to go but have not tried it yet, when the carto i'm using now drops in performance then I will put it in. I think it will be interesting to see how it works and to see how the fluid wicks inside the CE2. Practice drilling a hole in the clear CE2 carto with a old one, so you get a feel for how it drills.

Do you have the picture saved to your computer???? If so, start a reply to thread and click "Go Advanced". See the paper clip above, 4th from the right???? Click that and you can download your picture there and then send it to the post. Try it :)

Katya sent me a PM of another way to post a picture, and that is what I did here. Gosh what a pain, maybe next time it will be easier. Hope you all enjoy my first posted picture.

I'm trying the GP-SSR method by inserting a 510/901 adapter in the bottom plug and a 510 shorty extender between that and my pv so I can use clearos. This should also allow for adjustable air flow as it did in the SSR.

Snarky, can you give me a link to the gp-ssr method please :) ? This seems to be more in line of what I'm wanting to do. Thanks :).

Middle of nowhere
I used a clear CE2 in one. It worked fine.
I did replace the tube with a syringe.
All I did was dremel a slot in the bottom just above the bottom plug/end and a slot just below the top plug/end.
I made a couple for my mother-in-law and she is still using them after a couple weeks and they have not leaked yet.
I liked the cartos better she likes the ce2's better.

Why did you put a slot, top and bottom? Have you tried just a bottom slot and found that top&bottom worked better?

I never tried just the bottom.
Sometimes the ce2's don't wick so well so I put one in the top so she could flip it and the liquid gets to the wick faster.
Seems to be working good. If it's not broke don't fix it.
Wait who am I kidding. There is always room for improvement.
That's why I have to rebuild stuff so much I guess................LOL
Chalk it up to a learning experience I always say.

I have not used the CE2 yet and I may find the 2nd hole works better for that. One hole I think is all you need for the standard carto's with the filler material inside.

BM, what size hole did you drill for the insulin syringe stopper? Thanx...

Well, I don't know really. I started with the smallest drill bit I had...and it was too small, so I used the next size and it was still a little to small, so I just drilled and moved it around a bit to widen the hole with that same drill bit. I just kinda did it a bit then tested the stopper until I got it right. Sorry I'm not more help. :(
