Where I am
I'm a hardcore Horror Movie Fan; always have been, but if you ask me what my all time favorite movie is I would tell you:

Jim Henson is one of the most genius, creative and inspirational movie makers to ever live. This came out in 1982, and I saw it in the theater; I was 9-years-old. Though it totally bombed at the box office it resurfaced on home video to become a cult classic.

Released in 1987, Bad Taste was Peter "The Lord Of The Rings" Jackson's 1st feature film. It started as a short film to test out the new camera his parents bought him, and 5 years later it morphed into the insanely gross and funny 1st feature for P.J. He wrote, directed, played 2 different roles and did the special effects for it. I watched it 13 times over a weekend the 1st time I rented it back in '89. I actually own the very VHS I rented back then.

Released in 1980, but banned in the U.S. up until just a few years ago when it was finally released on DVD. Ruggero Deodato's Cannibal Holocaust was the original "Blair Witch Project". R.D. was actually arrested, and taken to court, and had to prove he did not kill the actors while making this film. Not for the squeamish, the animal killings are what kept it banned in the U.S. for so long.

When I was 16 I paid $25 for a mail order VHS bootleg of it, and it changed my life. A couple years ago I had the chance to meet the director, Ruggero Deodato, at a convention. I told him my story of how I obtained a copy when I was so young, and the look of surprise on his face, realizing I was 16 when I 1st saw it, was priceless.

They did an illegal theatrical release of it in the U.S. back in the 80's, and I successfully hunted down one of the theatrical posters from that for him to sign.
