Arctic Update

I'm sure many of you that have been looking for one has been on the wait list as these sold out and the restock I've been told from a few places will be the week of March 16th. sorry for those soles that purchased them for $70 plus on the bay.

I have been using this off and on with my Atlantis and I've almost put the Kanger sub tank mini away completely as these 2 really perform.

Now updating my experience with the Arctic.

For me I Vape a 80/20 combo of Beard 32, Beard 05, 365 and a dash of cotton tail cream it's a very sweat all day vape.

In the Atlantis (melo coils) the flavor is very in your face leaves you literally licking the insides of your lips on exhale very nice.

Using the Arctic .5 ohm coils for some reason I do not get that nice pop of flavors however with there .2 coils I get the same sweat sweat flavor.

Enjoy

Wait, are you saying the .2 has good flavor or that it tastes like armpit?

Oh it's definitely a warmer vape. Airflow is good but with the wattages this thing can absorb it needs to be even more airy. Honestly the heat will make you back off LONG before dry hits do. I find it shines for me around 60-70 watts although most juices I make are designed for high VG, high airflow, high wattage.

Strange that I prefer the Subtank's flavor vs the Atlantis but that's always subjective and we're using different juices. For me Atlantis=sweeter flavor but Subtank=nuances come through better, especially on complex flavors. People should realize NONE of these newer tanks are bad. There's only slight differences but they're all far superior to yesterday's tanks. These all make you consider shelving your RDAs, especially on the road.

@loosewiring. I'm sure he meant "sweet" not "sweat". I also initially thought "eww god that sounds horrible"

so true about yesterdays tanks but be forwarned that todays tanks will use up more juice, reason for me is i cant stop vaping my subtank mini because it tastes literally 100x better than my nautilus.

as for rba the stmini's is pretty good, my first rba of any kind, easy to build, easy to fill, afc ring.
im not going back to premade coils .

I've had the Arctic for a little over 24 hours now.

Flavor is on-point whether vaping at 30W or 70W. 70W produces more vapor but no more appreciable flavor.

I currently have the same juice in ask the tanks. Sub is at 20W, Atlantis is 30W, & Arctic at anywhere from 30W to 70W beats them both.

Have been using my Arctic BTC 0.2 coil for a few days now and I agree with everything you said. Purchased an IPV2 to use for it as I want to keep my RDAs on my Siegeli 150w. Decided to order BTDC 0.5 coils which will be here Thursday. Curious to see the difference.

So Cal
Just got mine in today along with the ipv mini 2. This thing is insane. I am running 12mg halo mystic through it right now, and I can't go past 30 watts. With a 6mg I can go the full 70watts the ipv can go, but damn I see why they call the coils turbine. They suck through liquid like a turbofan does above 50 watts. Doesn't get too hot, and damn the clouds, they're just insane for a tank. Very happy, a fog blaster. Really like the mini 2 also. Tho worried about the Goat wearing off. Lol have to get a clear protector wrap. Def def do NOT run above a 12 in this thing. 3 hits and I was getting a nicotine dizzy off of it, and I've ran 18mg in the delta 23.

Anyone else having spit back issues with their Arctic? Thought it might be my first .2 coil but the second is doing the same thing. It's not a hot spit back from the coil that happens on most tanks infrequently, its more like extra juice that somehow got into the chamber. Kind of driving me nuts here. I love the flavor and vapor, thing performs great but I feel like I'm drinking juice.

What wattage/volts are you running at? Is it the single or dual coil? If it's the .2 dual coil, I would get spitback if it were under 45w. I usually take a few small pulls at 30-35 to break them in, then go up from there. Most of these newer tanks are power hungry. That's why they say, "30w won't do this tank justice". If that's not the case, maybe you flooded the coil a lil bit. Did you try to dabb dry the coil head with the paper towel and around the lil well part the coil sits in? What's the blend of the juice? I've also found I can't use anything below a 70vg/30pg in the Arctic...this would also give spitback.

All over the place
This thing is quite fun! The first tank-full left me seriously wanting for flavor though (it tasted like an old CE4 or some non-sense). I could not tell what the liquid was that I was vaping, even though I knew what it was. But, as soon as I filled it up again (which happened quite quickly -- this thing eats juice!), I began to really notice and enjoy the flavor. Very soon after that it was like the flavor had fully set in and from there on it's been an absolute pleasure to vape.

Note: while clouds are not really my thing, this thing puts out something fierce! And the kicker is that the flavor puts out equally (IMO) along with the vapor. My airflow is wide open and am running the .2Ω at 50w. Cheers.

Any of you folks found a replacement tip for this tank yet? I just received my arctic, and the tip gets uncomfortably hot after 1-2 pulls, using the .2 coils at 45w.

Found the perfect fit. Cherry Vapes Delrin cloud chaser, with a little modification (I sanded down the friction fit area, so the bottom "ring" sits flush with the top of the tank) works like a charm!

I also found a wide bore wood tip on Sweetvapes that fits perfectly, and goes well with the wood wrap on my iStick50. :vapor:

@V43L1N, that's funny that you posted that. I was actually at Cherry Vapes Lounge the other night and bought that drip tip for my FreeMax Starre. Fits in snug, perfectly. I couldn't get it to fit into my Arctic, however. The one I bought is the metal version that is delrin insulated. Looks awesome on the tank! The guy claimed it is the widest bore for a 510. I was tempted to buy another but the price was a lil steep...$18. Works extremely well...doesn't get warm at all, even if I push 80+ watts.

How's the cloud production as compared to Atlantis? Interested in getting this but will an istick 50 drive this enough?

The .5Ω dual coils can definitely handle 75-80w, but I prefer to use the .5s around 47.5w while I'm out and about.
The vapor and flavor of the .5Ω coils is far better than the Atlantis @ 35w+, in my opinion. Keep in mind that flavor is subjective!

If you plan on using the .2 coils, or really want the vapor production, I would suggest you grab a mod capable of 100w.

When I get home, I usually switch to the Freemax Starre .25Ω@ 85w on my sig 150w, and fog up the house.

Wow! $30?!?? That's ridiculous for a drip tip. If that's the case then I better get back to the shop and buy another before they realize it. lol Maybe it's like a wholesale bulk thing and they figure they'll make it back in purchases? The one you linked is the exact one I bought.
